Sample New Resource

I located this family engagement "game for change" resource through the GLobal Family Research page. This game draws on the idea of gamification to engage families in problem solving and collaboration. The concept is to present a faily common scenario to the group and have them problem solve the situation. The group is assigned positive "roles" like "Raise up, reach out, relate, reinforce and reimagine." These are all different, but positive ways from which to attack a problem. The game is particularly relevant in my context because there is not right or wrong answer, and families can discuss real barriers to issues they are facing with other families. The solutions come from the participants - genius. I can imagine that once a group builds trust, you could move into creating additional roles and scenarios that are most needed in any given situation. I could only keep imagining all of the ways that I could adapt this game beyond the realms of family engagement... advisory, circles, so much possibility!
