Students can have a choice to what they would like the end product to look like. They can determine how to show how to be a good citizen through different means (letter, poster, video, paragraph writing).

I'm thinking of some ways to make the expectations more explicit. For example the teacher may want to add examples of transition words or picture support for spelling and punctuation.

How are they identifying the traits? What type of organizer are they using? Are they expected to cite text evidence in doing this?
