Any thoughts about the sound bytes PBS chose to use in this intro? Are they good representations of the candidates and their positions on the issues? Are they fair and unbiased? Do they ease, exacerbate, or have no effect on the ugliness and hostility that have characterized this election season so far?

expecting an “historic and repulsive debate…a traffic accident.” Are we watching the debates the same way we would reality TV? I think this is certainly an element of the public’s interest. Wonder if this is isolated to this particular election or if is a broader trend?—scary!

Is this any excuse? He needs to address the underlying attitudes this “locker room talk” reveals, whether it was true or not. Confront that this description of sexual assault was something he saw as brag-worthy and don’t minimize its significance.
