My question is...why is this virus different from others? Viruses stay in our bodies forever and with some our bodies develop antibodies and control the virus (mononucleosis, chicken pox, etc.) and with others the virus goes dormant but we are always susceptible to another outbreak (herpes, hepatitis, etc.) However, our bodies seem to be unable to do either of these things to the HIV virus.
