I think Amy's parents will also benefit from telepractice since they will be able to witness how teachers work with Amy and perform these same activities with her at home.

Also, since Amy spends most of her time with her grandmother, it will be a great idea to have her participate as well.

I was wondering the same thing Juanita. The first thing that came to mind was that maybe his parents are not together or they might be together but have more children from a previous relationship.

Rich Learning Environment

This is one thing I will share with my host teacher. It is important to provide children with a rich classroom environment. This means that children will be exposed to a variety of centers making it possible for them to participate in many different activities. This will allow the teacher to see what activities interest the child and what activities they demonstrate a lack of interest.

I was amazed by these questions. Because my time observing in schools was so limited due to different areas I had to focus on getting information on, I never got the chance to pay close attention whether the child belong to a specific group or had a preference being around certain people. This something I will definitely consider during my future observations.

Getting to know your student's means getting to know their parents. Parents are the best resource there is when trying to get to know your student's. Nobody knows a child better than their parents.

Algorithms are everywhere

Algorithms can be described as daily activities in our everyday life. For example, every morning I have to calculate my time wisely in order to be able to make it to work on time. I set my alarm at 6:30 and have 45 minutes to get ready because the bus usually arrives at the nearest bus stop around 7:15. Once in the bus I stop by a diner to buy some coffee and walk to work. A way we use algorithms when we teach is through daily routines. In order for daily routines to run smoothly in a classroom, everything is scheduled at a certain time throughout the day. This way students are not lost , are well prepared, and know what to expect in the classroom.

I agree with the statement you made about how we need to listen to others even if we do not agree with them. Everyone deserves to be heard. Effective listening makes it possible to get clear messages across and avoid any misunderstandings.

More support for students

I can relate to this sentence because this happens with my 14 year old son. During parent teacher conference, his teachers always speak highly about his participation in class but that he falls behind when it comes to completing assignments in class. To them it seems that he is always in a rush to complete an assignment when he has trouble understanding what it is asking. I believe that there are students who need extra support from teachers. Assignments should be broken down for them and teachers should encourage students to ask questions when they don't understand something.

It took me years to realize that it is never too late to pursue a career. I had to push myself out of the hole I was stuck in and work towards what I really want in life and that is to become an educator. No one but you can take the steps necessary to get to where you want. Here I am today continuing my education and so close to the end.

Coding is a fun engaging way for children to develop love and interest in technology. Scratch is a program that makes it possible for children to incorporate technology into their personal lives as well as their academic lives. They are able to connect with friends and family members around the world while being creative and developing their critical thinking skills. As a future educator, I look forward to implementing this program with my future students to encourage and support their use of technology in a healthy way.
