In "My Shot" we see how fast Hamilton wants to build his legacy in the quote "I am not throwing away my shot. Hamilton worked really hard to get to America and he is trying to build a legacy for himself so he doesn't want to throw away his choice to build that legacy. But in the song "Wait for It" we see in the quote "I am lying in wait" that Arron Burr already has a legacy and he is waiting for his opportunity to prove himself where Hamilton is rushing to prove himself.
