I also don't believe that Henrietta would know what immortal cells were if she talked to Gey about it. They kind of brushed it off and said how they didn't find anything wrong with her just from one scan/test. It was also concerning that they left radium inside of her cervix, because to me that doesn't seem safe and like something could easily go wrong. In a way, I feel like she was more of a guinea pig to try out different cancer treatments. I don't think that Henrietta's family was truly involved in her care or treatments because she really didn't tell them a whole lot. None knew of the pain or side effects of her radiation, and she didn't make it a big deal. We can see how in paragraph 131, Henrietta never told her family the results of her biopsy, which is something you'd tell your family or close friends. She also played it off and was saying how she was fine and the doctor was going to fix her.
