      <description>I don't think that there ever needs to be teacher shame for not completing work. But I think the negative effects of waiting till the failing grade comes out could be far more devastating then having rules and consequences that push a student into completing work. The problem seems more with the teachers approach and not the rules themselves.</description>

      <title>I think that the problem comes less from having the structure of rules having inflexibility in the consequences. When you just hand out consequences Y for infraction X and don't look at each situation as unique gives makes it more oppressive.</title>
