Another two factors include exhaustion and a decline in health for people who had to work during the pandemic. A few more examples of leading causes to an increase in depression came from the prolonged social isolation, and financial struggles from having to take time from their job or getting fired. Lack of social support is another large factor in the increase of depression and anxiety during the pandemic and even with online support, problems still came with it that caused people to be stressed.
