Hi Heather, I like your ideas of accommodation for the students by letting them take their own interpretation of the text. I would just recommend is how would you pre-teach the vocabulary to engage them in to the text.

Hi Mizaray, I completely agree with putting the text into different chunks. That would really help those beginners because it allows them to not feel so overwhelmed but I would recommend also testing the student by asking different questions to guide them

Hi Leslie, I completely agree with you because it allows for them to really understand what is going on in the passage. Having the reread I can also have them be able to identify the key sections.

2 accommodations for readers at the intermediate level would be peer collaboration and Partner reading.

The reason why I choose these two is that having them work with a partner can allow them to share what is going on in the passage instead of just one of them trying to figure it out.

2 accommodations that I would make for beginning level readers is bey have them read in chunks and also have them a Directed Reading-Thinking Activity.

I feel like these 2 are the best for beginners because after they read a section of the passage the can see if they understand by answer question the go along.

How I would engage all my students in to the text is by asking them how old they are and if they feel different when it is their birthday.

I really love this line because it shows how they realize that no matter how old you are. You are never too old to show you feelings.
