      <description>How does this affect the way that we teach our students and the depth to which they are learning these concepts?  Really, when we are teaching in this way, students will learn to do that same.  They will learn that memorization is the way to learning, rather than relevant, conceptual, and deep learning of the concepts and understanding the big ideas.</description>
