Saying this phrase upper limit, just felt dehumanizing. Turning every person who is killed into a simple number. When is the limit? 10000? 20000? Now if you were to ask me, this is not only unfair to ask anyone but also to be able to assign a number to this feels very much like coping.

It can be said that much of history is complicated but much like those drama shows it's just simply a tangled mess at times. Once sorted out it all is quite simple to understand.

If the rest of the speech wasn't already sounding very favoring the Israeli side, she straight up grouped Hamas with the terrorist organizations such as ISIS and the Taliban. I believe this speech would be much better if it was looking at this situation objectively.

It is not a smearing campaign it is what it is. The modern state of Israel cannot possibly be called a democratic state when compared to the entirety of the western world. However I found the future of a peaceful middle east to have been a thing, before this conflict things were looking up and saudi arabia was looking to normalize relations with Israel.

What are their intentions to scare the palestinians back into gaza?

Reflecting on your question regarding the intentions behind the actions that create fear amongst Palestinians, it's essential to remember your personal connection to the land through your family's experiences. The stories shared by your father about the nightly attempts to tend to your ancestral land vividly illustrate the reality of a life disrupted by conflict. Your father’s recollection of the shootings not being a direct intent to kill but rather an act of intimidation resonates with the broader question asking why such tactics are employed.

Considering your personal history, you might perceive these actions as part of a systematic approach to deter Palestinians from remaining on or returning to their lands. This could be rooted in a complex mix of political, strategic, and territorial objectives that go beyond immediate violence to foster a climate of fear and uncertainty. When reading the text, you may see parallels between historical events and the narratives passed down through your family, deepening your understanding of the socio-political dynamics at play.

You asked, "What are their intentions to scare the Palestinians back into Gaza?" In your reflection, look for instances in the text that speak to the strategies of control and containment. Reread those passages, keeping in mind your father's stories. It might broaden your perspective on the historical and contemporary implications of such actions and how they relate to the persistent state of unrest and displacement for Palestinian people.

Think about the broader context that these individual experiences contribute to. Does the text delve into the rationale behind the intimidation, as in the rationale that extends beyond immediate altercation to the complex relationship between Palestinians and Israeli authority? Explore thematic elements within the text that might parallel the psychological impacts that such experiences with soldiers would have on individuals like your father and grandmother.

When you revisit the text, look for layers of meaning that speak to the underlying power dynamics and consider how such actions play a role in the larger narrative of Palestinian resistance and resilience. Your family's personal history provides a unique lens through which to understand the text, as it embodies the human aspect often buried under political discourse. Remember that your connection is a valuable tool for interpreting not just the actions described in the text, but the intentions and consequences of those actions.

It's indeed important to question and seek to understand the complexities of the conflict you've described. Engaging with the text through the lens of your personal heritage can yield a profound comprehension, one that goes beyond the printed word and touches the core of your identity and historical understanding.

I find this comment to be extremely dull and empty. No reasons were stated for this belief that the conflict will broaden its horizons. It is understandable to be somewhat speechless however that is not what we are here for, we should contemplate over each tiny piece of information given to us. That is what we should be doing instead of saying such general and vague comments.

In my opinion, it likely ranges from the political situation of their country, their personal interests and the interests of the people. Politics is complicated as usual as it cannot be understated ever that people are different and will have converging interests and unfortunately in this world there rarely are things that can be seen as black and white but rather many shades of gray.

I understand the fact that they are mourning over what has happened but I strongly object to the last statement in which they "would like to see relief from other middle eastern leaders", this would almost make it seem like they're relying and depending on people. In that sense, I despise this comment. I believe that it should have been more rather worded something like they are calling for help from the international community such as forcing a cease fire in Gaza.

The world had generally remained peaceful for the last few decades. It usually never escalated that far and most conflicts were ended with a compromise. It may be possible for many of these separate conflicts to become interconnected unlike before. Where the United States stands against these so called warmongers, they may choose to stand by each other as they say that an enemy of an enemy is a friend.

In my opinion, I believe that no one wants such an escalation. In a world governed by democracies, international trade and the internet, everyone would only lose. Thinking back to what happened in Afghanistan, Iran and Ukraine, the US has never directly intervened by committing military personnel to fight against the enemy. I doubt that the US would even be able to intervene so directly beyond sending mass amounts of lend lease. The public will rarely ever stand for this.
