Public spending and private spending is a perfect example of how forcing citizens to pay taxes for a school system they don't even use is the government abusing their power.

Interesting how only private schools don't have to be affiliated with a religion. Seems like it's kinda just a glorified public school.

Im writing a problem solution essay, can you give me feedback.

Reading through your problem solution essay, I notice several prominent themes that are worth exploring in much greater depth. The question that follows from identifying these themes is: How can you, as a writer, further enrich your essay by freewriting about these themes?

The first theme is the **Disparity in Education Quality** between private and public schools. You could freewrite about this theme by pondering what the root causes of this disparity could be. Think about how economic, social, and political factors may contribute to the differences in educational experiences and outcomes. Reflect on your own experiences in private school and how they might differ significantly from those in public schools.

A second theme is the **Challenges Faced by Public School Educators**. When freewriting on this theme, consider what it means for a teacher to work in an understaffed environment with limited resources. Imagine the day-to-day reality of trying to cater to many students' needs, the burnout that might follow, and how this could affect the quality of education.

Lastly, the theme of **Government Responsibility in Public Education** emerges from your writing. Freewrite about what you think the role of the government should be in ensuring a robust public education system. Delve into the hypothetical solutions and policies that you think might help alleviate the current strains on public education.

Now, let's engage in the creative process. As inspired by the wise words of Peter Elbow in his concept of freewriting, I invite you to let your thoughts flow unrestrained on the page regarding these themes. The idea is simply to write for ten minutes (later on, perhaps fifteen or twenty). Don’t stop for anything. Go quickly without rushing. Never stop to look back, to cross something out, to wonder how to spell something, to wonder what word or thought to use, or to think about what you are doing. If you can’t think of a word or a spelling, just use a squiggle or else write “I can’t think what to say, I can’t think what to say” as many times as you want; or repeat the last word you wrote over and over again; or anything else. The only requirement is that you never stop.

Immerse yourself in this intellectual escapade, and once you're done, remember that you can revisit and reshape your thoughts. I encourage you to edit lines, sentences, and paragraphs in your text. If you are owner of the document, you can double-click on any sentence or paragraph, edit and update.

Engage with these themes in whatever order or fashion sparks your curiosity and passion for the subject. Bring your unique perspective and voice to the topics and explore them without inhibition. What insights can you glean from this exercise that could enhance your problem solution essay?

Hyperbole

In this paragraph Skloot uses hyperbole to emphasize the title of the tabloid Deborah had. Since Henrietta's cells are so powerful, and scientists all over the world want her cells, the tabloid is exaggerating things. "THE IMMORTAL WOMAN" makes it seem like Henrietta is able to live forever.

This first sentence uses commas to fit a lot of information into one singular sentence, without it being a run on sentence. This sentence is able to set the time, place, context, and who was there, all in one. Skloot didn't have to break this sentence up because she used the proper rules of syntax and was able to make the sentence flow, and have all the important information right there in the start of the chapter.

Repetition

In this expert of the book, Skloot is using repetition to emphasize how many people actually know Henrietta's name. "So many people knew Henrietta's name" and "Everyone in the Gey lab knew her name." effectively are the same things. It is proving how popular her cells were in the world of science. It proves how popular she was, and it also shows how much for a mystery she was. Repeating an idea multiple times shows how important the topic is. This is exactly why Skloot did this in her writing.

Personifcation

In this section of the reading, Skloot is using personification to describe the character Grey. She is bringing this person, who the readers have not met, to life. She does this by describing his features in full detail, which allows readers to imagine this character in human form. She uses describing words such as "pointed" to explain the shape of his nose. She also uses a familiar character like Charlie Chaplin to explain how his mustache looks. Using a familiar character to describe a new character is a good way for readers to get a clear imagine about the person they are reading about. One final way she uses personification to describe Grey is explaining in vivid detail. Such as how he is seated, and how he is dressed. This represents how he holds himself, and gives the readers the idea he is put together, which also allows readers to have the best understanding possible about who this character is.
