I do not think arresting homeless people is the way to combat the solution. I think we do need to address the drug and addiction problem that is becoming increasingly popular by establishing more resource and rehab centers.

Homelessness is affecting many smaller businesses who can not afford to keep up with insurance if they file more claims. This hurts small businesses the most, and eventually will hurt Utah's economy.

The fact one apartment downtown is $400,000 is ridiculous. Most banks require a 20% down payment if you take out loans, so to put $80,000 down out of pocket is so much to ask for from many young people that do not have that money.

By elaborating on the way she was raised, the author provides context in to why she failed to stand up against the discredit in the usage of her mother's cells. By being raised to stay silent, the audience becomes empathetic towards Henrietta, in which we feel bad for her inability to be loud and stand up against the wrong doings of the doctors. Additionally, this story portrays a more logical understanding of Henrietta, that she did not speak up against the injustice due to the way she was raised.

Through the use of a simile, the author establishes a comparison between the cells of Henrieta, and the size of the earth. Thus this creates a sense of understanding for the reader, in which the comparison serves to establish the large impact Henrietta's cells had on the world of science-helping cure many diseases, while benefiting the lives of many.

By comparing Henrietta's body to one covered in pearls, the audience is able to grasp the intensity to which Henrietta was infected by all these tumors, relaying a sense of pain and suffering raptured by the reader.

Here, the author establishes the legality of the action of removing tissues from a dead human body, in which any actions in the realm of doing such, was illegal. By stating the legal qualification of making an action like this illegal, the author demonstrates the logic as to why the case of Henrietta was unethical, due to the fact it was illegal. Here, the author removes any emotions, stating experimenting with Henrietta's cells was wrong for the simple fact that it was unlawful.

As the author is referring to Carrel as the scientific messiah, he is making a comparison between the saving power Christ had to the saving power Carell has with his new advances. By doing so, the author establishes a sense of emotional praise, similar to what one would experience in a religious setting like church.

By stating the "if" prior to the author's description of cell death, they provide a sense of logic as to why HeLa cells are so crucial to the progression of cancer research. Since the HeLa cells continue to live for an eternity, it reduces the value of other cells, thus making the HeLa cells most valuable to researchers.

By comparing the cell to a fried egg, the author provides a logic to explain the complex science of a cell into a more general term in which all audiences can understand regardless of their scientific background. This helps the audience understand the visual of a cell without needing a biology background to do so.
