I really like your thoughts about maintaining cursive as an art form. I struggle with the idea that it may no longer be taught. I write predominantly in cursive and it is sad to think that at some point in history there may be people who cannot quite read it because they were never taught how to write it. I think what is interesting is how the "hashtag" usage although humorously portrayed in the Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake skit, is being used in multiple formats. Even though it still doesn't properly translate, somehow it is being used more and more in other social media settings and in everyday conversations.
