In a point essay the writer makes points in a alternating way. This makes the essay more engaging to a point.

Block essays have blocks of information. For example you put all the similarities in one paragraph. Then you put the differences in a paragraph together. Then you compare the two topics in a paragraph together.

Mosaic plagiarism is a form of plagiarism. In Mosaic plagiarism you take pieces from different places without citing them.

Taking just a sentence from a source without citing it is okay.Right? Wrong! Even if all you take is a sentence from five sources then splice them together. That is still wrong because you are stealing other peoples thought.

I will give an example of one type of plagiarism and explain how two types of plagiarism are different.

Provides an example of one type of plagiarism

According to Bowdoin College, direct plagiarism is one type of plagiarism. This is an exact copy of the other author's work. “Let's say you found some inspriational words online that you want to include in your esay for class.” This is a direct plagiarism from the article cited below.

Explains the difference between two ways to avoid plagiarism

Paraphrase basically means that you do not put more than two words from the article together in a row. When you quote you should do less than forty words.

The difference is that when you paraphrase you just do not copy more than two words. When you quote, you copy more than two words and put them in quotes.
