Even if it seems like a simple quote that nobody will notice, you need to give credit. This happens a lot with writing and with art. If you find something (even online) you need to give credit to the author or creator.

Just because you may have rephrased something, it doesn't mean that it was your original idea. If you got the information somewhere and paraprhased it, you need to source it. If what you said was direct, you need to make sure to quote it. If you are not sure, just cite it in case.

For this question, I was wondering why in this essay "Vacations", Why are the paragraphs so short? I think that there could have been more information but that may just be my own opinion.

Block Essay Paragraph

This paragraph is an example of a block essay because instead of talking about each topic bu itself, this essay talks about the comparisons and differences all together. So, instead of saying something about the Senate in one paragraph and the House of representatives in a different paragraph, they are both compared in one paragraph.

Rhetorical device

The rhetorical device used is the question "Who knew?" because it doesn't have a specific answer. This question wasn't meant to have an answer, it was meant to get you ready for the discussion that you were about to read.

I think that this is the second support to the main claim that I chose because it talks about the fact that they used the music to find things in common.

I think that this supports the claim that I chose because it talks about how different the people were. but that they all had something in common which was the music.

Two ways to avoid plagiarism

One type of plagiarism is self -plagiarism. This is when you use your work for more than one assignment. Two ways to avoid plagiarism include paraphrasing, and the other one is use a direct quote, but cite the source! Even when you paraphrase or use you're own words, you still need to cite where the information came from.
