This is important because its true theres many middle schools that wont prepare kids for college. It connects to me because i've heard many people talk about this situation. Mon, 08 May 2017 16:29:45 -0400 even though these kids attend these types of schools they stay in middle class https://nowcomment.com/documents/77223?scroll_to=749975 https://nowcomment.com/documents/77223?scroll_to=749975 I see in this paragraph that even though you attend a good school some kids don't get out of the middle class. They're income will still be low and the graduation rates are low. It connects with me because its true only because they get into a good school it doesn't mean those kids future is going to change in a big way. Mon, 19 Feb 2018 12:26:23 -0500 Not every school gives kids an opportunity. https://nowcomment.com/documents/77223?scroll_to=749967 https://nowcomment.com/documents/77223?scroll_to=749967 I see how the feelings are expressed about kids not being able to enter a good school. This is important because its true schools tend to not give students a chance based on their grades and other things. This connects to me because i remembered when i wanted to enter a school that i wanted and i couldn't because of my grades. Mon, 05 Jun 2017 16:37:00 -0400 I see Jayda is explaining what she wants to become and what she wants to do with her future. https://nowcomment.com/documents/77223?scroll_to=749949 https://nowcomment.com/documents/77223?scroll_to=749949 What makes it important is how she has a future planned and looked at resources that can help her achieve her goal. It connects to me because its something similar i want to do. Mon, 08 May 2017 16:07:07 -0400 Being an active listener is very important. It gives you the chance to think about any follow up question you have in mind. https://nowcomment.com/documents/76737?scroll_to=743809 https://nowcomment.com/documents/76737?scroll_to=743809 Wed, 26 Apr 2017 15:40:13 -0400 walking up to the stranger and just going for it helps put the fear aside. https://nowcomment.com/documents/76737?scroll_to=743808 https://nowcomment.com/documents/76737?scroll_to=743808 Wed, 26 Apr 2017 15:35:35 -0400 I agree with you no student likes to be treated differently.Ill like to add that some schools seem to have favoritism. https://nowcomment.com/documents/75879?scroll_to=738593 https://nowcomment.com/documents/75879?scroll_to=738593 Wed, 19 Apr 2017 15:56:58 -0400 In this section of the video they talk about the schools having a family something that most students need and many big schools don't provide. https://nowcomment.com/documents/75879?scroll_to=731471 https://nowcomment.com/documents/75879?scroll_to=731471 Fri, 02 Jun 2017 14:17:49 -0400 These teens felt that when they were at their other school they have to dress a certain way, Talk a certain way and talk a certain way and now that they are in an alternative school they feel more free they feel like they can be themselves. https://nowcomment.com/documents/75879?scroll_to=731464 https://nowcomment.com/documents/75879?scroll_to=731464 Wed, 05 Apr 2017 16:21:21 -0400 Half of these teens felt like leaving their schools to go to a alternative one because of the way the school system was running. They either wanted to be in a small school or just didn't like the way the school was treating them. https://nowcomment.com/documents/75879?scroll_to=731456 https://nowcomment.com/documents/75879?scroll_to=731456 For example the girl that was pregnant and went to school throughout the 8 months of her pregnancy she didn't receive no credit after she gave birth because she didn't the finish the classes but still went for most of the time. Mon, 05 Jun 2017 15:55:52 -0400 At this point in the video these teens are just talking about why they felt like dropping out and its because they felt like no teachers or counselors were helping at all they felt like they were nobody. https://nowcomment.com/documents/75879?scroll_to=731449 https://nowcomment.com/documents/75879?scroll_to=731449 I stopped here because i can relate to these teens at the moment and back then in my old school i feel like these teachers have a nasty attitude and i just feel lost. It connects to many teens including my cousin she feels the same way. She feels like teachers don't really help and just always have this attitude and favoritism. I have seen many teens say the same thing so it connects in many ways. Wed, 05 Apr 2017 16:03:17 -0400 What i see is teens talking about the fact that they wanted to drop out because of the bad influence/people that were around them. https://nowcomment.com/documents/75879?scroll_to=731442 https://nowcomment.com/documents/75879?scroll_to=731442 I stopped here because these teens are talking about the similar reasons these teens felt like being a drop out of high school. It connects to me because most of the time i feel like dropping out or just giving up. It connects to my old ex friends most of them were just drop outs and started following in the footsteps of others.
