This whole article is about things that should never have the ability to offend. The fact that this article offends someone, proves the articles point.

Humor fits the paragraph well.

I feel like this paragraph is the strongest out of them all. The language is very very strong and the sarcasm fits here. This is the best use of humor. This really whole paragraph could really upset someone who doesn't get the humor.

I feel like this is persuasive argument that isn't very persuasive. The overall tone of this argument is snarky and condescending which does not help persuade people from the other side to want to play dodge ball.

When you talk down to people, it really doesn't make them want to support you or your claims no matter how persuasive you are. I feel this person is very opinionated. The humor usage in this argument isn't very well thought out. You shouldn't always use humor, especially when the humor you are using doesn't match with the tone.

This sentence a good demonstration of humor. It surprised the reader with a funny statement that also has some truth to it. Using this in the very first sentences, catches the readers attention.

This is a good use of surprise because I think he has lost, but he really catch the ball and won. People laugh at this because he is hurting and they are in shock.

This is accurate. Normally in stories like this when do the final catch your status goes up. You should become automatically cool, but that didn't happen here.

I find it hard to call this story, "magical realism," because if you take out all the parts about God and Satan, it would just seem like a regular story with an unlucky main character.

From this, we can say that God cares deeply about his followers, as we can tell from the dialogue. He is telling Satan that he can take away everything from this man, but do not actually hurt the man, himself.

I definitely agree. Where as most people would get angry with the Lord, Job stayed faithful and did not blame this on the lord. He is very accepting of how everything he had owned came from the lord, and that it was okay he took it back.

I think you are right about that. It seems strange to treat something holy with such disregard. They seemed to treat themselves and their child well. They didn't even clean the coop for the angel's benefit, only so they wouldn't have to smell it.

A lot of the words and actions reminded me of how people would treat an animal they did not care about. They caged him in, branded him, and fed him things no human would eat. It was like they were running a zoo, charging people to come see him.

These lines really sum up the concept of magical realism, the idea that there is something logical and natural (the design of his wings) mixed with something fantastic (that a man would even have wings).
