This can happen for a combination of reasons, not just being transgender. People may just not develop fully in the womb or other medical reasons. I feel the article is really calling out an entire religion almost giving them a bad rep. I know that the Catholic church doesn't have the most liberal view on sex, but that's not altogether bad. Sex can have bad effects on people depending on their experiences and it isn't for everyone.
