This shows how people of any gender no matter where they are on the spectrum can experience gender dysphoria and that it can come from many different parts of someone's life. Sometimes it may stay and sometimes it may go.

I like that she says how she couldn't explain how she felt because that is often the case. When people are experiencing gender dysphoria and someone asks what's wrong, it is often very difficult to explain.

I prefer to use a unisex bathroom because I don't want to make my classmates uncomfortable. However, using a unisex bathroom may cause more dysphoria for some people by making them feel different.

I find it ironic that people who do not want transgender people to use the bathrooms they identify with are afraid of getting hurt when in reality, if someone who is transgender walks into a bathroom, they are more likely to get hurt by cis people.

This is a good start. It gives validity to the arguments of transgender individuals. It makes ask the question, if this is their right, what else do they have a right to? The answer should be doing anything that corresponds with our gender identity.

Gender dysphoria is often triggered when someone is seen and perceived as the gender they do not identify as. Anyone who is transgender and experiences gender dysphoria may really need the confirmation of a birth certificate or other legal form stating the gender they identify as in order to feel like they exist.

Their is more than one gender and sex. This can happen for a combination of reasons, not just being transgender. People may just not develop fully in the womb or other medical reasons. By denying these people exist, Nelson is not only being extremely close minded, he is preventing people with medical conditions from living freely and equally.

I personally don't agree with these pronouns. I do think that these take it to a point that just gets too confusing. If you don't identify as female or male, just use they and their. However, if someone came up to me and said that that is what they would like to be referred to as, I would still respect their wishes.

I wanted to add that just because some people may not opt for medical forms of transitioning, their gender identity is not any less valid. No body has to do anything really in order to identify as a different gender from which they were assigned.

Asking a so what question was a good way to transition. It gets the reader thinking about the information but also thinking about how all that information is relevant before they are told how it's relevant. This was also a good way to keep the reader engaged.

I'm not offended by this, but I also don't think it's that funny. I feel the article is really calling out an entire religion almost giving them a bad rep. I know that the Catholic church doesn't have the most liberal view on sex, but that's not altogether bad. Sex can have bad effects on people depending on their experiences and it isn't for everyone. Because of this, I feel like he's trying to gain the readers interest, but I don't think he's going about it in the best way.
