As a person with immigrant parents, I know that their culture will always be a part of me, and that it will define who I am as a person. https://nowcomment.com/documents/117013?scroll_to=1146901 https://nowcomment.com/documents/117013?scroll_to=1146901 Wed, 31 Oct 2018 17:23:31 -0400 I think that the points in this video are really important. Immigrants tend to want to assimilate into the American culture. But it is also important to acknowledge that peoples backgrounds are a part of who they are, and they can never just erase it. https://nowcomment.com/documents/117013?scroll_to=1146884 https://nowcomment.com/documents/117013?scroll_to=1146884 Wed, 31 Oct 2018 17:16:03 -0400 When something bad happens to a part of America, there are lots of times when people come together to support the people have been effected. They show their support to say that they are not alone in a struggle. This quality is what makes us American. https://nowcomment.com/documents/117013?scroll_to=1146883 https://nowcomment.com/documents/117013?scroll_to=1146883 Wed, 31 Oct 2018 17:10:18 -0400 I thought that the baseball team was a really nice idea to get the town to communicate and collaborate with each other, just like we do activities in the classroom to get to know one another. https://nowcomment.com/documents/117013?scroll_to=1146882 https://nowcomment.com/documents/117013?scroll_to=1146882 Tue, 18 Dec 2018 09:34:39 -0500 I think that people have forgotten to appreciate different view points, and instead, they dispel them right away. America has a lot of people with different backgrounds, and being American is about making sure that every voice is heard. https://nowcomment.com/documents/117013?scroll_to=1146881 https://nowcomment.com/documents/117013?scroll_to=1146881 Wed, 31 Oct 2018 16:47:18 -0400
