The author had a sense of regret when saying this because he didn't help the white lady. He feels that he could've helped her out and she would have thanked him. Sat, 15 Feb 2020 07:54:24 -0500 okay https://nowcomment.com/documents/136495?scroll_to=1357243 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136495?scroll_to=1357243 what does the author mean by this? I sit that the speaker died which will make sense because he talks about his soul. Maybe the shock of the Raven scared him so mush that the speaker died. Or maybe the raven was death it self that is going to take the soul of the speaker. Perhaps what he dreamt about was this person "Lenore". Like maybe she was a loved one that passed away. Or is someone he murdered that came to a haunt him. Fri, 14 Feb 2020 08:40:51 -0500 last two lines https://nowcomment.com/documents/136495?scroll_to=1355507 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136495?scroll_to=1355507 when the speaker checked the window he was scared but he still wanted to check what was tapping at his window. But only to be wind. I like what the author did here to add suspense of what to happen. Maybe demons or a burglars. I like what the author did by saying "dream no mortal ever dreamed before. Was he sleeping? Or is he tired? Perhaps The speaker knows what he did wrong to think that the devil has come. Which bring to the point that the speaker is a murderer and he killed the girl who he speaks of Lenore. The speaker was then doubting that nothing was there which made him go crazy because then he heard more tapping. Maybe it was his mind playing games with him which is sign of craziness.
