Did she do anything else besides this? Sat, 13 Feb 2021 19:47:07 -0500 Figurative or literal? https://nowcomment.com/documents/136885?scroll_to=1365601 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136885?scroll_to=1365601 What line would she be crossing. Is this figurative or literal. Also who would count you out Sat, 13 Feb 2021 19:47:07 -0500 confidence? https://nowcomment.com/documents/136885?scroll_to=1365600 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136885?scroll_to=1365600 is her saying "i think i won" after saying "they think i lost" supposed to display how even though people may think that she may be down, she may have the confidence to stay hopeful for herself Sat, 13 Feb 2021 19:47:07 -0500 a child compared to adult https://nowcomment.com/documents/136885?scroll_to=1365599 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136885?scroll_to=1365599 The poem went from talking about things that she did as a kid to then talking about the problems that an adult might have to struggle through. Sat, 13 Feb 2021 19:47:07 -0500 From personal experience? https://nowcomment.com/documents/136692?scroll_to=1326254 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136692?scroll_to=1326254 Were these things that he had to deal with? Maybe this poem is based off of his personal experience. Thu, 07 May 2020 13:24:54 -0400 Same person? https://nowcomment.com/documents/136692?scroll_to=1326231 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136692?scroll_to=1326231 Is this the same person that the speaker is talking about because when the speaker says that "I heard them and I still hear them" and in the beginning it was never mentioned. Thu, 07 May 2020 13:24:54 -0400 I can relate. https://nowcomment.com/documents/136692?scroll_to=1326214 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136692?scroll_to=1326214 I personally feel like I can relate because I think that anyone, no matter who you are, deals with things like this. I think that anyone who lives in New York long enough, gets used to these type of things. Thu, 07 May 2020 13:24:54 -0400 Were they important? https://nowcomment.com/documents/136692?scroll_to=1326210 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136692?scroll_to=1326210 It seems like the speaker and this other person have this very important relationship wether or not it was romantic or not. Thu, 07 May 2020 13:24:54 -0400 Who can the speaker hearing? https://nowcomment.com/documents/136692?scroll_to=1326208 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136692?scroll_to=1326208 Is the speaker talking about someone who had recently past or are they talking about someone who actually might live in the apartment above them? Thu, 07 May 2020 13:24:54 -0400 stereotype https://nowcomment.com/documents/136391?scroll_to=1318835 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136391?scroll_to=1318835 The speaker tends to judge the mistress by compliments. For example, "your eyes shine brighter than the sun". but the speaker says that the eyes of the mistress are nothing like the sun Mon, 08 Apr 2019 11:54:45 -0400 Why compare? https://nowcomment.com/documents/136391?scroll_to=1318818 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136391?scroll_to=1318818 Why is the mistress being compared to all these different things? Why is she being put up to all these expectations? It seems like it's very hard for the speaker to understand that all people are different and they shouldn't be compared. Mon, 08 Apr 2019 11:39:54 -0400 Is the mistress aware? https://nowcomment.com/documents/136391?scroll_to=1318803 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136391?scroll_to=1318803 Does the mistress understand that she has all these things that are wrong with her because it seems like she's blinded by something and can't really notice all of these imperfections. Also does the speaker ever tell the mistress all of these problems. Mon, 08 Apr 2019 11:33:05 -0400 Readers opinion https://nowcomment.com/documents/136391?scroll_to=1318791 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136391?scroll_to=1318791 This poem has two things that make this poem confusing. The first is that some lines are obvious, straightforward and clear negative lines. But the second thing is the fact that some of the lines are left up for the reader to guess what it is. For example, the color of the mistress's hair...is it really that bad if the mistress has grayish-brown hair. Some people actually like others with that type of hair color. Mon, 08 Apr 2019 11:26:18 -0400 Questionable insult? https://nowcomment.com/documents/136391?scroll_to=1318774 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136391?scroll_to=1318774 Is this really an insult because it's hard for me to tell if this can really be considered an insult? There are tons of people who don't have lips as red as coral. This just seems like the speaker was just putting this line out in the open for the reader to analyze and decide on what it means on their own Mon, 08 Apr 2019 11:16:39 -0400 still in love? https://nowcomment.com/documents/136391?scroll_to=1318763 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136391?scroll_to=1318763 I personally feel like the speaker is really in love with the mistress and i only say that because anyone that can look at a person, analyze anything that's wrong with them and still loves them for who they are. Then they must really be in love. Mon, 08 Apr 2019 11:10:43 -0400 in a relationship? https://nowcomment.com/documents/136391?scroll_to=1318749 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136391?scroll_to=1318749 are the mistress and the speaker dating or in a relationship at all because so far it seems like the speaker only knows negative things about the mistress Mon, 08 Apr 2019 11:04:28 -0400 insult for the mistress https://nowcomment.com/documents/136391?scroll_to=1318735 https://nowcomment.com/documents/136391?scroll_to=1318735 why is the speaker mostly focusing on the negative things about the mistress. Does the speaker even like the mistress or is the speaker just using the mistress Mon, 08 Apr 2019 11:00:42 -0400 why is this a question. if this is a question then shouldn't it be worded differently https://nowcomment.com/documents/131478?scroll_to=1272628 https://nowcomment.com/documents/131478?scroll_to=1272628 Wed, 22 Jul 2020 16:56:38 -0400 wings? https://nowcomment.com/documents/131478?scroll_to=1272589 https://nowcomment.com/documents/131478?scroll_to=1272589 is the wings supposed to represent angels?
