I will be Identifying four things you can do to establish enhanced communication, cooperation, and collaboration with general education teachers. First Communication we will talk about our plan for working together. Talk about lesson plans and classroom management. We would talk about how to set up the classroom so that it shows there are two teachers in the room. talk about the needs of each student and look at the IEP at a glance for the students on my caseload and come up with ways to help each student.
Second we would cooperate with each other on planning lesson and what coteaching approach we want to use. it will help with doing things together so our students and others see use working as a team.
Third collaboration we can plan lessons together and assesments. The need of the student should be our first priority all our work is for the betterment of our students and the community. If we cn mold strong hard working citizens our community strives to new hieghts.

Delores three strengths she demonstrates are that she likes her Special Education teacher as well as her math teacher. Delores also is in general education English and wants to succeed in middle school.
The two areas to target with specific intervention are Math and social Emotional skills. Her mathe teacher could address math anxiety, create a safe learning classroom sit her close so she focuses, teach how to do sets with each problem. teach each step separately. Use manipulatives, ask another student to help or tutor her. Have her tested for Dyscalculia as well. she mayneed assistive equipment to help as well.
For her Social Emotional she could talk to the school counselor about the bullying and to help social skills. help her make friends and be social with others and not feel strange. The teachers can address her bullying by explaining to the student she has a disability give positive talks to the students have a anti bullying talk so the understand it is not nice.

Facishon Moore The Professional I would use for my team would be Occupational Therapist, Paraprofessional and Physical Therapist

The three Professionals I would use for my team to make sure my room meets the least restrictive environment and makes my new student comfortable are my Paraprofessional, Occupational Therapist, and physical Therapist. First My Paraprofessional is in class with me daily so we work with all the students. The para can give my insight I may not have thought of as well as help with class work and helping take students to support and lunch, recess and on CBI trips.
OT can help my with the room layout to make it so the student can move around and be able to interact with other student as well as work on fine motor skills and help with assistive devices for the student.
and Finally I would need PT to help with the student physical therapy routine as well as give me suggestion the I and my Paraprofessional can use and get the student whatever tech exquipment we can use for the student

Facishon Moore: how can you structure a classroom and /or a lesson to ensure a student with Autism Spectrum Disorderis successful?

Autism spectrum diorder student require you to get to know them. This will help you understand to student better. Limit your lecture time to keep student attention. stay on schedule sot your students stay focused. If you ask question give student time to process what you are saying and time to give you an answer. Keep room simple not to flashy, it can be a distraction. Use concrete objects so your students stay interested. Make sure you give the students choices.
students with ASD are not social so you would have to come up with was to get them to play at recess and how to make friends with other students.
I would start a lesson like the life cycle of a apple tree. I would sit my students down tell them what we will be talking about. I would Read a Book on the tree life cycle them I would explain my centers for the activites. I would let students work with a parnter you can choices your partner and have a reward for the students at the end.

Facishon Moore- The steps I would take to ensure that I provided all services necessary for a student with speech and language needs are:

First I would determine if the student has have a speech impairment? Then dose it effect the students class performance and then does the student benefit from special education intervention? I would work with the Speech Teacher. the speech teacher would determine whether a vision or hearing loss is present and help with RTI procedures. they may be called in to co-teachon this case or offer consultation services. The goal is the provide student with the help. The speech teacher can administer a test for articulation for example the Goldman-Fristoe test of articulation 3. The speech teacher does ask questions they do spontaneous language samples. they and examine the student physical structure for producing speech. or look for abnormalities in the students hard plate see how the tongue and lips produce speech.

I could do language assessments like receptive and expressive vocabulary, retrieve words as needed (word finds)
comprehension of stories and correct use of grammer. talk with English as a second language if student is bilingual.
Additional information that I would need is to bring parents in to talk to and get approval from. as well as the multi-tier team and then questions for eligibility criteria.
The accommodations I would use is word prediction software, skill development technology, occupational therapist services.

Facishon Moore: The two intervention strategies I would use : individual counseling and BIP, collaboration with parents and child and other to provide postitive behavior support for Joshua with his input.

First I would review his IEP and see what his other teachers have done in the past to get JOSHUA to work ing the classroom hopefully he has had a behavior plan in place if not I would start there, then I would see about him getting indiviual counseling to help with his anger and his EBD. I would have a talk with the other students about being good citizens so that we keep a positive learning environment for everyone. I think working with a counselor with help Joshua manage his agression. I would then use positive behavior supports so Joshua can stay focused on his classwork and not have negitive behavior. This will be monitored by me watch Joshua interaction with students and other staff members.
My second intervention strategies is to collaborate with the parents and the student and other IEP team members to talk about what the student wants to get out of school. I think at this point the student has not been benifiting for the class and may need another setting like a day treatmentplace or a residentual setting to help student. then come back in 6 month to see if it works or we do somthing else .

1. Delores strength is that she likes her Special Education teacher and she attends a regular English class. Delores also likes her math teacher.

Two areas that Delores needs to work on is her math. I think she should be tested for Dyscalculia for her stuggle with math. her social and emotional charateristics also needs to be addressed the fact that she is afrarid to talk with someone about people bulling her and her father saying to her it is her diablity.

Setting up our classroom so that it shows that threr are two teachers in the room. have both names on the door or two teacher chair in the room. Talking about one another strengths and weakness this will help you get to know each other. general education teacher may not know very much about Special education so help each other out. You should disuss what coteaching appoach you want to use. this will help with doing things together so your student and others see are a team. The needs of the students need to come first so establish how you can help the students you serve. talk about the student that are on the Speial education teach caseload and help gerneral education teacher understand IEP at a glance. and what everything means.
