      <description>just because of the way she talks about them being hooligans and scout dressing too masculine. I don't think Atticus has failed though because the kids dress how they please and are very wise for their ages and scout learned to read at a very early age. Atticus's ways of parenting are not tradition but they seem to be working</description>

      <title>I also agree, I think that this comment shows that Calpurnia's ancestors were slaves so therefore they grew up being afraid of white people and that when they enter the church they are nervous because that is there safe space</title>

      <title>I agree that Jem was tired of hiding. I think that he was emotionally hurt and couldn't keep it in any longer and didn't care if he got in trouble at that point.</title>

      <title>I agree with Natalie, Atticus is a very wise and encouraging character throughout. Atticus is trying to raise the kids to be empathetic and see the best in people.</title>
