How Student’s Feel About School Shutdown
With students describing it, shutting down campus has been emotional, and they have suggestions for what kind of teaching works best now that instruction is strictly online. Having to experience this as a senior in high school, it is very upsetting, no prom, graduation, senior prank and many more things. Several participants tried to disrupt the meetings by posting slurs in all caps in the chat, part of a phenomenon called Zoombombing. Our moderators did their best to quickly disable public chat and block the users who were violating our policy, but the incident was a reminder to anyone planning public events on Zoom to be aware of this online vandalism trend.
