I think their story was very sad and tragic, love is worth dying for.

Their story was very sad because all the couple wanted to do was to escape the war and be together. Also the part when the lady puts her arms around her boyfriend was super sad. I think love is worth dying for because when you love someone all you see is that person, you dont see a life without them.

I think it should.

I think Romeo and Juliet should be a common text for all 9th graders to read because it is filled with drama and action and many people like that. I also think this because Shakespeare is a little hard to read and its good to read something that will challenge you.

i would punish the apothecary and Friar Lawrence.

I would do this because the apothecary had no right to give that poison to Romeo he shouldve said no and told Romeo to leave. I would punish Friar because he was the main cause of both deaths. I would send the apothecary to jail for a good amount of time, and death to Friar because he was the cause of two innocent lovers.

I blame the Capulets and Montagues and their feud.

If the feud between the Montagues and Capulets never happened or ended before Romeo and Juliet this would have never happened. They should have put their differences aside and stop the feud. Also again i mostly blame Friar Lawrence because he shouldve thought out better the plan.

I blame Friar Lawrence for this,

This is because Friar Lawrence shouldve first sent the letter to let Romeo know what was about happen and wait for a response. It wasnt very smart to send the letter after Juliet faked her death.

The apothecary is a bad guy but at the same time he isnt.

Romeo wouldnt stop asking the apothecary for the poison and he convinced him to give it to him even though it is illegal. At first the apothecary didnt want to give the poison to Romeo but later he ends up giving it to him. I think Romeo is responsible for his own decision but the apothecary could have avoided this and just said no.

Like Juliet i would have some doubt about the potion and think he might want to kill me but i would still take it because there is a chance of the potion actually working. I would take that chance for my lover.

I think Friar Lawrence gave the best advice.

Friar Lawrence gave the best advice because he actually gave Juliet a solution unlike the Nurse. The Nurse did give her comfort and hope but she didnt really give her a solution.

Juliets parents didnt consider her feelings and never asked her what she wanted. As a parent youre supposed to care for your child and their needs, but Juliets parents did not. Although the norm at that time was to marry someone with good money and not marry for love i still think her parents shouldve thought about how she felt and they shouldve listen to her.

Romeo is very upset.

Romeo doesnt want to be vanished from Verona, he cries and shouts basically goes crazy to the thought of leaving. I think he feels this way because he doesnt want to leave his birth place and Juliet his wife. I dont think his reaction was too bad i wouldve felt the same way but a little less dramatic.

She is sad to find out that Tybalt is dead, but she is glad Romeo is still alive afterall he is her husband. I agree with her choice in loyalty, Romeo is her husband and she loves him so much, Romeo did kill TYbalt but only because Tybalt wanted to fight him first.

Romeo told Tybalt how much he loves Juliet, he was willing to lose his life to love Juliet. The fact that Romeo agreed to fight Tybalt shows how deeply he cares and loves Juliet.

I think Friar Lawrence and the Nurse were wise to help Romeo and JUliet get married secretly.

Although many people might think it was too soon for them to get married i think it was a good idea. They are both in love and young, it was a risk but it was a risk they were willing to take.

Romeo and Juliet arent wrong for wanting to explore their new relationship over pledging their allegiance to their families, its normal to tell your family about your lover and its good for them to know.

In the play Romeo sees Juliet from across the room and is immediately drawn to her,in the movie Romeo and Juliet meet by looking through a fish tank. This doesn't really change much because Romeo was still drawn to Juliet.

The speaker in the poem "Black Woman(Motherhood)" acts as a better mother because she wants to keep her child safe, she does this by not giving birth to her child due to all the pain thats in this world.Lady Capulet didnt have that connection with Juliet.

The prologue serves more as a warning against blind hatred instead of blind love because during the play Juliet talks about how many people are quick to hate someone if they aren't a Capulet,in the play they hate for where you stand or which side you take

The similarities between the real-life families, and the Capulets and Montagues is that they all dislike each other. Like the Capulets and Montagues the real-life families also fought against each other, eventually this stopped just how the feud with C&M.
