I like how you said words distorted is like a slang because it really is. Not everyone understands the meaning behind it. But the people with the same culture and knowledge of the same language as you will understand.

I liked the way you pointed out that for the code switch "not everyone understands each of her languages" because I tend to do that a lot also, when I want to talk to someone but I don't feel like pulling them out of the room.I'll just speak to them in a different language so no one else in the room can understands.

That statement means that some "words" are not actual or real words recognized by the English language. These words could either come from different languages but do not exist in English. For example, the word "tennisman" is not a real word. It looks like a legitimate English word but if you try to search it in the dictionary, it is non-existent. However though, for the French, this means a tennis player. These words could become confusing to native English speakers because they might become unfamiliar to the term. Meanwhile, the source of the distorted recognizes this word. These "distorted words" in English are what the concept of anglicisms or pachismas is about.

Azaldua's home tongue is Chicano Spanish. She speaks about it proudly because it is a marker of her identity. Chicano Spanish is slang Mexican Spanish considered by the Latinos "deficient". Despite this, she still takes pride in the language because it is Chicanos very own.

I really like the way you made your comment because it shows that not only to people change who you are but "life" can change people wether your around people who are vary kind or generous. for example if someone has gone though a lot of trauma they will not have the same identity as they did when they were a little kid.

there are more than just how he look and act that comes into play when talking about your identity.

These elements combined together require a researched answer in order to answer them. Proper research is required from the our past and present considering several factors in order to understand who we really are. The term identity crisis shed light on how we are sandwiched in several factors. These factors require time and resources in order to explain correctly. For example, in order to understand who Barack Obama is you need to trace his culture back in Kenya in East Africa.
In order to exists peacefully, we need to understand each other without judging or discrimination because we are different people. We have a different personality, culture, social class, language, religion, race among other factors that make us who we are. We need to accommodate all these factors in ourselves as well as others. We are complex and everyone has their own complexity. We need to understand each other, forgive and forget if oppressed by a person and respect their personality. All these factors make us.

Narratives really do help you understand what is going on in the story. because books with a bad narrative are always so hard to understand what is going on.

We tell stories to help picture an image of the message your trying to tell. Stories not only tell you what the speaker wants you to know. It's a more descriptive version of a message. It's also a great way to connect with others and to see what they did first hand by the speaker. although a narrative is a even more descriptive story with its whole purpose is to keep you reading more and more.
