She was petrified of dogs. If we would ever drive past a dog or even walk past a dog, we would have to turn the opposite direction . I have three dogs and when ever she came to drop off my firend she would refuse to come inside unless the dogs were put up. She was so scarred because when was younger, she had a terrifying experience with a dog which caused he to be afraid today. The narrator could have had a bad experience with a similar dog or he could grown up being taught that dogs are scary. Recently I just started a new job where everything is still new to me. I feel I was well trained by my managers, but I sometimes do things wrong or thing in the wrong place. Having the open mind that I am still new and still learning new things helps me not get annoyed when I am constantly being corrected or reminded of the right way of doing things. I often will sometimes "give up" or "get distracted" when I can not find a solution to the homework or if I do not understand the homework. Instead of trying to find help or find ways to get the help, such as asking a classmate or a teacher to elaborate on the homework I instead find myself pushing the homework to the side and coming back to it later. I would not necessarily say I have an attention deficit, I just sometimes put something aisde if I does not seem "easy" on the surface. One of my goals for 2021 is to take a dive and challenge myself, whether it is doing the hardest homework first or challeging myself at the gym. Is it where we start? Where we end?" In his most recent poem 'On the Backs of American Bison' he mentions that the American people killed all of the bison causing him to find a new home and would steal the woves' food while they weren't looking. He ended the poem with " we have to survive somehow." When she hears something that shocks her, it gives her an opportunity to step back and look to see if that is one of her beliefs as well and it could turn into an invisible belief.When we are having conversations with other individuals, we need to really listen intently because we could discover an invisible belief we never knew were about of us. He is speaking as if the narrator is incapable of "understanding." He referred the narrator as invisible. The vet is making is seem like the narrator is "dumb" simply because of his race and because the narrator had questioned the information the vet provided to him. He mentioned that if the narrator were to ever become a chef, doctor, a singer, and etc. that he wants the narrator to let him know because he holds Mr. Norton's fate.
