She is at the same pace mostly for the entire speech. She does a great job at staying at this pace and also knows when she should speed up and slow down. Which is only a couple times.

Slowly getting towards the end of her speech, she is getting a little bit slower while talking about how her, an introvert, feels at this event.

Sister Corita being a mentor to her students isn't completely new to her. Her mentor Sister Magdalene was Corita's mentor. Corita using past experience from Magdalene helps her with her being a mentor now.

I agree with your statements. If something is working then keep doing it, but that doesn't mean that you couldn't make it even better. Continue to do it, but keep testing other things as well.

Being a Good Listener

I believe part of being a good listener is being curious with the topic that's being talked about and also having experience with that topic as well. Talking with someone who is inexperienced won't benefit the situation as much.

I believe this is a very important trait that is missed in today's age. Having different opinions is natural, but it comes down to respecting each others opinion even though how wrong you might think they are.

In the previous sentence Grandma says, "Tain't no use in you cyrin', Janie." But she then says that people are meant to cry about something and that Grandma herself has had her struggles. Maybe Grandma found herself in a similar situation and Janie is obviously having a hard time adjusting.

I really do agree with Trey and he did a great job explaining it. I think this is a great comparison. Also Trey mentioning that your childish self will never disappear and it will just be covered up is very scary to think about considering how we are almost seniors and its almost time to fully be adults.

As we are about to meet Barry we see a conversation between Mrs. Tracy and Jack. Jack explains that Barry is a schizophrenic and he even says "He's on the edge of falling off the edge of he world." But, Jack also says "He copes better than most with his level of illness." Barry has convinced himself that he is a golf pro and in the next scene is shown giving lessons with a elderly widow named Mrs. Freemus. Jack later says that he set up these lessons for Barry. I have an idea of what Barry could be going through because of the Ted Talk we watched this past week for the weekly work. Elyn Saks talked about her story of a schizophrenic. Does Barry and Elyn show any similarities with their actions or how they go about things?
