After the speaker makes an important point, I noticed she takes a little pause. This lets the audience take in what she is saying.

Picks the suitcase up and it's it in another space to mimic how she picked up the books, put them in the suitcase and then had them under her bed the rest of the time at camp.

Up to this point the speaker has had lots of hand gestures, but I feel that if I was in the audience I wouldn't notice them as much, but since I'm looking for gestures it's easy to spot. The gestures aren't distracting, but they put emphasis on her words and also incorporate life into the speech.

Throughout the whole video the speaker has had a nice tone to present the dead at hand, but towards the end making the closing statement, the speaker starts to talk softer, as if she really wants you to take in what she is saying.

Sister Corita's work was unique, influenced many people, and touched on many worldwide topics. This piece of art showcases pop art, bright colors and a message. I chose this piece because of the message and the fact that I havent seen anything like it.

When people care about you, they can push you to levels you never thought you had in you. When it seems like you have nothing left, they find more out of you somehow. Its easy to believe in yourself and work hard for someone who makes you feel valued. Sister Corita was this to her students, a teacher AND a mentor.

I think this quote went over a lot of peoples head. The author is telling us that women do what needs to be done in order to make things happen, yet men get all the credit for the smallest thing if it happens to come true. I think that women deserve more credit because of th dedication that we have to do thing accordingly and not just give up.

I agree with this HOM and I dont think we do it. When someone is talking, we dont always listen without speaking. Now that I think about this it brought me back to the Listening HOM. Going forward we should try to use all senses instead of just a few.

Throughout life I feel as if we dont listen as much as we should be. As humans we always want to be right, so we start speaking before we actually get a chance at listening; this causes us to not learn about eachother because we dont step back and just listen.

Taking advantage of opportunities/ complaining

I feel like many of us take advantage of the things we have and do lots of complaining throughout our lives. I myself, am not excluded from this topic. I say that there are a lot of people everyday who take advantage of the little opportunities that we get everyday, such as being able to speak correctly or having the ability to see just to name a couple. There are people who have neither of these things, but yet still find the good in situations and are still very grateful, but the people who have these advantages are not taking them and being happy that we have them and we see them as "little things" that just fly over our heads on a day to day basis, but they could be life changing for someone else.

This film allowed me to get an even better insight on people with disabilities and how they act day to day. I, myself, realized that I take simple things for granted.

This poem is short, but the words in it really speak to me. I immediately thought about one of my closest friends. One of the worst things happened to her, and I knew I had to share her pain, but also try and take some of it away. Every time she is happy and smiling I have been there making her laugh and sharing joy; when her whole world crashed in one split second, why wouldn't I be there now? That's when she needs me the most.
