This reminds me of a show we both watch, The vampire Diaries. Even though we have finished it we keep re-watching it to pick up on new clues we did not the past time watching it. We are re-experiencing the feelings that come with mysteriousness. We have these conversation with friends or just random people where we just go along with it. Whenever asked how you are you always just say fine, or I am living, or some superficial response. Almost nobody really wants to hear how you are doing and almost nobody responds back with actually I am not doing great. There is a certain class in mind when I think of this and I actually get scared to enter that classroom. Each day feels like a test and if you get something wrong points are deducted from your grade. This is not how it should be, you should not have to enter your high school classroom scared with knots in your stomach in the chance of being wrong and losing points. So that kinda started me off on a bad note with the book already struggling to understand it. Not only in life but in sports as well. Honestly hearing this so much has made me never really want to stay inside the comfort zone. Mon, 08 Feb 2021 13:15:18 -0500 thoughts about this paragraph https://nowcomment.com/documents/251070?scroll_to=2322140 https://nowcomment.com/documents/251070?scroll_to=2322140 first I would like to point out where it says restoring hope into the future. That statement is a big part in todays world. We are all needing restoration in something coming up in the future. Also this whole paragraph is something so many people today struggle with, challenging beliefs and ideas admitting we do not actually know and letting go of certainty. Lacking acceptance in confusion. Mon, 08 Feb 2021 13:12:03 -0500 applying pas knowledge to new situations (room 407: Indiana) https://nowcomment.com/documents/247448?scroll_to=2298448 https://nowcomment.com/documents/247448?scroll_to=2298448 Over the past couple years honestly I have learned this strategy can change the game, especially when it comes to the recruiting process in volleyball for me. Within the paragraph it states that "They are able to abstract meaning from one experience, carry it forth, and apply it in a novel situation." Ive made many mistakes in that process, whether it is my response or my video. I have then learned from those past mistakes how to respond and almost know exactly what to say when approached by a coach. "I've never made a mistake. I've only learned from experience." During this scene the box flew right past me, when going back and looking it was for sure a donut box. In my opinion this just helps build Normans character. Tue, 10 Nov 2020 09:04:24 -0500 reaction of Barry https://nowcomment.com/documents/240008?scroll_to=2191508 https://nowcomment.com/documents/240008?scroll_to=2191508 I feel as if the reaction of the news of his father's appearance kind of foreshadowed how he was going to act when his father started to get on him, making Barry have a psychotic break. Tue, 10 Nov 2020 09:01:07 -0500 Confusion within this scene https://nowcomment.com/documents/240008?scroll_to=2191379 https://nowcomment.com/documents/240008?scroll_to=2191379 This scene stirred up some confusion for me. At first I thought this lady was actually very sweet towards Arnold, wanting to be his friend. Whenever she asked for the money is when I got confused, I kinda got the impression that she was potentially trying to take advantage of him, but I could be very wrong. Did anyone else get this impression? Tue, 10 Nov 2020 08:45:47 -0500 Response to Zach https://nowcomment.com/documents/240008?scroll_to=2191373 https://nowcomment.com/documents/240008?scroll_to=2191373 I agree with you completely. Before watching this film I never really thought about people with disabilities having to live this fast pace life we live. Each day for them can be extremely challenging. I take for granted how blessed I am to be able to live my life without the challenges disabled people face. Now since the film brought light to their situations I will be more thankful for how blessed I am. They function within society to the best of their ability, putting forth their best contribution possible. Not only are they a huge contribution to society they are some of the hardest workers out there. Each one of the boys in the film work hard at the task put at hand. Tue, 10 Nov 2020 08:32:49 -0500
