In it, I discuss how African American issues are often taught in tangent to larger issues (i.e. WWI, Great Depression, etc.) so great to read something that focuses on several problems pressing African Americans at the time (Jim Crow laws, Great Depression, segregation) to gain a more authentic and inclusive view on society back then.
