1. The factor Is the economy and ability to live in that place.
2. It gives you new insights into people’s thinking, different customs, and how big the world is
3. getting used to the new territory and learning a city completely is something very overwhelming, apart from thinking about the economic support to stay in the place of residence.
It is difficult to adapt to a new territory, totally agree.
for choose a destination for academic mobility: the lenguage, culture, oportunities, benefits and quality of life that the program, scholarship and the country can to offer. in addition it is very important to take into account the ecomic capacity and adaptability to the new place
When you go to another place, you must face new things and many obtacles can arise, so knowing how to overcome all this can help pelsonal growth; the academic develops thanks to the we knowledge they provide, depending on where ir is, ypu can learn a new lenguage and more specialized things in your fiels of study.
I cosider that one of the biggest callenges is basically starting from scratch: in a new place, new people, new culture ans customs, etc. But this can be easily overcome with the determination of each person who is in academic mobility or exchange, everything can be a matter of getting used to these new things.
The first point that you mention on your opinion it’s such an important aspect to have in count. When we search for an academics exchange or mobility we have to take care of our future goals; if we have the language level required and the possible facilities that the university could bring us.
1. the factors to consider would be first to have the resources to go to the place, to have information about the place and where to stay, to recognize the location of the university and the career you are going to choose, and finally to know the language of the place.
2. allows knowledge to expand by recognizing different points of view from a culture that is different from one’s own. Also meeting new people, new languages and new foods.
3. The first is the adaptation to the culture and language, the way to improve yourself is to research about the culture before traveling or when you are there. The language is perfected through dialogue with local people.
Another challenge can be the climate, which can be overcome by understanding how the climate changes in the place.
I find your comment very interesting, very detailed
When we make a decision like this to move to another place we have to keep in mind what we are going to face, from the different cultures, the language, their customs and food, these changes help us to know ourselves as people and a growth in the academic part since we will know the perspectives that the inhabitants of the sector to which we are going to go, in many of the cases the most difficult challenges is the adaptation in all senses, this is a critical point because it is very allied with the upbringing, since this allows us to be more expontaneos and have better skills for communication and this would help us to have an easier adaptation.
Angie I think the same as you! I really liked your answer, change is not easy but not impossible.
1. The quality of education provided in the place, that the offer given in that place is adequate and the one you want for your life, and finally, the resources and opportunities you have.
2. You can improve in a positive way as it gives you the opportunity to meet other people and cultures, thus creating connections with outsiders and opening the way to new paths in those countries.
3. Being away from your family, friends and culture, you can overcome it by trying to adapt to your new environment and also give way to get to know the cultures of your peers.
1-To choose a destination I would think about what the place or area I would go to could give me, the climate, and if they speak a different language that is very difficult to learn, the university I would go to.
2-Going to another place to educate yourself can increase concentration or focus when learning, it can also motivate you to continue studying, the change of environment is Good
3-For me, it would be learning a new language, in the case of other people, living alone or starting a life somewhere else is complicated, to overcome it, it is a matter of being dedicated, and learning day by day.
4-When I moved to Pereira alone, it was a challenge, not knowing anything or anyone is difficult, but over time, you get used to it and meet good people.
I agree whit the answers, going to another country or city can be complicated but not impossible, i thik it is importat to get out the confort zone we have at home, the change of environment can be a good experience.
I agree with what you say and personally, I would be very afraid to go live somewhere other than my place of origin. so it’s very good that you have been able to adapt to Pereira. Maybe when I’m older I’ll go live in another country and face that fear.
1. The factors that should be considered, mainly the economic factors and the destination that suits the studen´s needs, as follows.
2. The exchange is a great growth when it comes to learning new cultures and languages, since in these spaces there are many people from different places, which they can teach us new things that help us to grow academically and personally.
3. I think that among the main challenges that people may face is the financial one, since there is no longer so much family support but each student should work to be able to support themselvesm it is also complicated to adapt to a new culture, country and language.
4.in 2021 i had the opportunity to go to the USA for a semester in order to learn English, at the beginning it can be a little complicated to adapt but over tine one is creating contacts, i founf it an ecxellent experience, because in this country i could study in an english course and also work and so i could practice the language.
1.Economic capacity for food, housing and transportation.
2.The students can learn about the other cultures, other ways of teaching, other lenguages and expand the knowleadge.
3. Getting used to another place, leaving the family and loved ones far away. Maybe frequent visits and getting to know local people.

The geographic location and climate, the quality of available public services, employment opportunities and the local job market, as well as the safety and crime level in the area
1-It helps a lot since we get to know new places in addition to learning new cultures and different ways of learning.
2- A great challenge is not knowing anyone and not knowing what the social dynamics and the most significant places are like.
3-I haven’t had many experiences of that type, just the first impact when I arrived at UTP and realized that the classes are different from school.
1. Geographical location, professional internship opportunities, cost of living and personal safety.
2. Through cultural exchange.
3.Language and dificulties in making local friends.
When selecting a destination for academic mobility, students should consider:

2. Language adaptation and course availability
3. Compatibility with local culture and lifestyle

2. having a knowledge of something new will help you grow both as a person and in critical thinking
3. have to get used to a new culture, new standards or possibly a new language is difficult, but we must understand that the human adapts to the environments
1. If the student are going to a country with different language, the language barrier will affect.
2. Living and studying in a different country can be a experience that changes the own assumptions and help grow as a person.
3. adapting to a new culture and social norms can be difficult, it may cause feeling of loneliness or isolation
1. Choosing a destination for academic mobility is an important decision because:
- Cost of Living and Tuition Fees.
- Culture and Lifestyle.
- Geographical Location and Climate.
2. Academic mobility not only enriches the educational experience but also positively shapes the personality, mindset, and skills of students, preparing them to face future challenges.
3. Some possible challenges.
- Language Barrier
- Cultural Adjustment
- Social Integration Issues
- Differences in the Education System
its very dificult to adapt to the lenguague of another count in a short time
Knowing different places could impact our way of thinking
we also face the culture of another society. I beleive that to overcome it we must have the ability to be resilient
1. When considering going to a new place for studying, think about things like the language, adapting to new surroundings, your financial situation, the courses offered, job opportunities, and the reputation of the school.
2. Studying in different places allows us to explore new cultures, understand the world better, and makes us more competitive in our careers, providing better chances for a higher quality of life.
3. The biggest challenge is adjusting to a different place, building social relationships either through language or customs, and dealing with the financial aspect since there might be more expenses, requiring careful money management.
1)Expenses and budget: It is essential that students consider the cost of living in the place they are going, including accommodation, food, transportation and other necessary expenses. It is essential to ensure that the budget is adequate to cover all the needs during your stay.
Culture and way of life: The culture and way of life of the destination country are fundamental aspects to take into account. Students must be open to adapting to new customs, traditions and ways of life.
2)Global experience: Immersion in a different culture and educational environment can enrich students’ worldview and strengthen their global understanding.
Labor networks: Academic mobility offers the possibility of creating links and professional relationships at an international level, which can be advantageous for future job prospects.
3)Language difficulties: The inability to master the local language can make communication difficult and affect academic performance.
Cultural Impact: Adapting to a new culture can be difficult and cause feelings of isolation or cultural stress.
3. Language barriers and cultural adaption. These can be overcome thrugh language support programs and cultural orientation.
1. Search for a place that is according to my life project or academic goals.
2.An academic mobility gives you an opportunity to learn about a hole new place. If you are searching a job, on the recruitment process that experience will enhance your profile.
3 the potential changes that could be faced by an exchange student… Language, cultural, barriers and the most important aspect, could be missing out your family and country.
1. Students must consider the academic offer that the place has with respect to what the student wants to learn and also their financial budget to travel to that destination
2. Studying in another city or country helps to strengthen new social and cultural skills, you can learn interactively getting to knows other perspectives of the world.
3. Studying in another country is not easy, you must leave your comforts, family and friends. You must learn a language and at first it will be difficult, and learn its customs, but this is just a matter of time and patience. I think there are many more positive things
I agree, because leaving our native language along with its comforts is not easy, because venturing into a new country is not easy at all and even more so if we do not have acquaintances to rely on
Address language barriers with courses, ease cultural adjustment through integration activities, combat homesickness with regular communication, handle academic differences with support, manage finances through planning and scholarships, and navigate visa issues by staying informed
I think it is important to consider factors such as the cost of living, to know if you will not have difficulties surviving there, in case you have to pay for basic necessities. With respect to academic growth, it helps to improve when interacting with another culture and learning another language often changes the way of seeing life, both personally and professionally, and in terms of challenges, you can encounter cultural clashes and even problems of xenophobia. On the other hand, it is not easy to leave the family for a long time and adapt to another lifestyle mediated by a completely different culture. In a personal experience, a family completed their master’s and doctorate in Mexico and it was great for their growth. We are happy and feel pride, however it was difficult to be separated and then face the few job opportunities in Pereira precisely because of their academic level achieved.
3) The biggest challenges are the differences in cultures, being far from their families and having to star from scratch, for this they must have a lot of confidence and security in themselves to fulfill their dream.
1. The most difficult thing is the issue of accommodation and adaptation to the new language with its culture.
2. Can give the student a new perspective on different study methods
3. As they say, the territory is the most important thing because if the student recognizes the place it is safer to adapt to the city and feel more comfortable, being able to have more development on a personal level because it allows him to go out with friends and go to different places.
1 the economic factor must be considered, how long will you be out of the country
2 It gives you new knowledge and opens up new job opporunities.
3 One of the challenges would be the language barrier and adptation to the construction and culture
3. The challenges a student faces are adapting to food, education and language.
2.It will make you grow a lot academically because you will have a new perspective on what you do and it is very possible that this perspective will be better as you go out to look for a better place to learn what you want to learn also as a person you will get other cultural knowledge.
3.The possible challenges are mainly based on not neglecting your nutrition and mental health since you are going to be out of your comfort zone, as well as focusing on what is really important which is to improve your academic experience.
with people from different places, with different ideas and thoughts, where shared knowledge can even occur. It is crucial to consider several important factors. First, that the institution is recognized since this plays a fundamental role, since it determines the quality of the institution.
the local culture and lifestyle to ensure a comfortable and enriching adaptation, as well as investigate the cost of living and accommodation options that fit our budget. Finally, consider the local language. Taking into account the experiences of some friends who went on an exchange, and were going to work as babysitters, the challenges they face is that when they arrive and interact with other people, they realize that they have to improve their level of English, since this is a barrier, so they should always start studying to improve their command of the language.
On the other hand, cultural adaptation, however, can be facilitated by actively participating in local activities. Academic pressure can be managed effectively using university resources such as tutors and student support centers. and nostalgia, which is why regular contact with friends and family would be advisable.
factors such as where you are going, the quality of the university, the accommodation and, of course, the food and drink should be taken into account.
By getting to know another country, another language and other cultures, students will be able to develop different types of skills, both personal and academic.
One of the challenges of academic mobility is adapting to new customs, being away from family and, of course, coping with a new language.
I agree with comrade Deiby, he mentions that language and culture are an obstacle to academic mobility, but these can be overcome.
What factors should students consider when choosing a destination for academic mobility?
-Educational quality
-Language
2)How can academic mobility enhance one’s academic and personal growth?
Academic mobility can have a significant impact on both the academic and personal growth of students. Below are some ways in which academic mobility can contribute to such growth:
-Diverse academic experience
-Educational quality
-Development of intercultural skills
-Language enhancement
-Cost of living and scholarships
-Culture and adaptation
-Academic and professional opportunities
3)What are the potential challenges faced by international students during academic mobility, and how can they be overcome?
International students participating in academic mobility programs often face a unique set of challenges. Here are some of the potential challenges they may face and some strategies for overcoming them:
-Language barriers
-Cultural adaptation
-Social integration problems
-Academic load and demands
Financial problems, Stress and homesickness -Language barriers
I agree that educational quality and language (which will be a barrier to interact) are important factors to take into account when choosing a destination.
What factors should students consider when choosing a destination for academic mobility?
A student must take into account the quality of education, the academic offer, taking into account that the programs are according to their career, the language should be important, location and culture, but the most important thing is that the student feels good at the beginning of the academic mobility.
How can academic mobility enhance one’s academic and personal growth?
Since this presents new opportunities to learn about the different ways of perceiving education, it also broadens their work field because they have contact with foreign people and it is a personal achievement to acquire the opportunity to leave the country.
What are the potential challenges faced by international students during academic mobility, and how can they be overcome?
The language, this can be a factor, the culture since the students are confronted with something they do not know, they can overcome it by learning, letting themselves be surprised and not being afraid of any obstacle.
We think in a very similar way, I think that despite all the benefits that studying in a better institute and in a better country brings, what the student really wants is more important. You can have a great desire to learn from the best without leaving, the student attitude is what makes it all worthwhile, both abroad and at home.
To attend an academic mobility, I think it is important to choose well in which country, city, the costs of living there. If the academic program exists in that faculty, transportation and ease of it.
Academic mobility offers great benefits for our professional growth and in the future for our occupation. Know different cultures, customs, meals and other passions that venture with us.
I think that one of the biggest challenges that students face, when making determination of academic mobility, is to leave their family, friends and customs. I would feel better with everything at my side, however, to face this situation is important detachment, but also generate some confidence in them, do not stop calling and be in constant communication.
Laura, I agree with what you’re writing, the distance with the family is something very difficult. That’s why many people don’t pursue their studies elsewhere.
I agree with Laura, with the family nearby everything is better, but if it’s not possible you just have to adapt
I believe that when choosing a destination for academic mobility, we should consider the local culture for ease of adaptation. We should also take into account the cost of living in the place to accommodate our finances and the reputation of the academic institution.
Academic mobility can enhance personal and academic growth by developing intercultural skills, expanding professional networks, and improving proficiency in other languages.
The major challenges during academic mobility include the adapting to new places, language barriers, and being separated from family.
We agree with the answers, in fact, you mention something very important that you had not considered, and how difficult it will be for the student to be separated from his family.
1. To choose a destination for academic mobility, it must be taken into account that the country is competent in the area of study in which you want to specialize, in the same way the economic flexibility that students may have and the security of the territory where they go to arrive.
2. The academic modality can improve the student’s interpersonal relationships and provide diverse knowledge from another perspective, thus improving the possibility of new sources of research for a given area.
3. One of the challenges that students encounter is the language and culture, since they can be different, the student has to adapt to the regulations and parameters of the country in which he is going to be.
i agree, it is very immportant to know about the security of the territory
I find your position interesting, I like the perspective you have academic movility
What factors should students consider when choosing a destination for academic mobility?
The quality of educational institutions, opportunities for engaging in meaningful internships and research that support our professional growth should be considered.
How can academic mobility enhance one’s academic and personal growth?
Academic mobility can enhance our growth when the interaction between students and professors from different cultures teaches us something new, fostering diversity and the exchange of ideas. Additionally, the collaboration with international entities can contribute to increasing research in the country.
What are the potential challenges faced by international students during academic mobility, and how can they be overcome?
The challenges can include encountering new cultures and experiencing new life situations, which can make adaptation difficult. Additionally, language barriers and feelings of loneliness may arise when being far away from family
Consideration should be given to the ease of language, food and how you can adapt to the customs of the country or city. Academic mobility can open more job opportunities, expand the mentality and get out of the comfort zone. The most difficult and challenging part is being away from family, missing home and friends, but expanding the horizon and mindset can do it all.
We may find ourselves feeling uncomfortable at first due to different customs, but if we embrace and are open to these changes, we can learn and grow from them. The same can be said of food, as even though it is something that can be hard to adjust to, if we are willing to try it and embrace it, it can be a wonderful experience.
I agree, the most challenging part of mobility is adapting to new cultures and customs, but it would also be great to live those kinds of experiences, discover new places, and make new friends.
You’re absolutely right, Santi. The hardest part is being away from family, but both they and we know that it’s for a brighter future and that it will bring many personal benefits.
1) the culture and modernization of the place where they are going, since these are going to be important to improve their knowledge.
2) the culture and modernization of the place where they are going, since these are going to be important to improve their knowledge
3)The biggest challenge can be adjusting to a new place and being away from your family and loved ones, it can be overcome or know how to carry on having a clear objective to focus on.
I have not had the experience yet, I hope one day I will.
1.The most important factors for me that students should take into account when they want to study in other countries are the following: that they speak the language of the other country or that they understand it, that they have enough money, that they apply for a scholarship, that the country have a good education.
2. Academic mobility opens the field of knowledge, shows different points of view, there are new ideas, every day there are new experiences that help personal and academic growth in general.
3.I think the biggest challenge is to adapt to a new culture, which can be overcome with a respectful attitude, always willing to learn and adaptable.
Some of the factors would be to consider what lenguage is used in the country, do some research on the local culture, on the other hand to consider the quality of the academic progam.
Academic mobility can give us new perspectives, in addition to improving our network of contacts, it would also help us develop adaptability to other environments.
I think the main challenges could be learning the local language or adapting to the culture, as well as the feeling of being away from family and friends.
The best way to overcome them would be with a good previous investigation and seek advice from a guidance group.
-should take into account the reputation of the institution, language, culture of the country, cost of living and financing.
-It also enhances the development of intercultural skills, provides students with an enriching experience both academically and personally, offering them the opportunity to learn, grow and develop in different educational and cultural environments.
-one of the possible challenges faced by students is language, culture, student customs but the challenges of academic mobility can be overcome with a positive attitude, good planning and actively seeking support.
I agree with you Carlos, the language is fundamental, knowing the cost of support and it is important to know the reviews of the institution to which you are going to enter.
1. It is important to consider the language, the climate, and the economic expenses
2. learning about new cultures, about new technologies
3. They may have problems with the language, not adapt with food or economic problems.
At the moment I have not had experience with academic mobility, I have always been at the utp, but the idea is to be able to travel to Brazil
The factors that should be into account for students to be an exachange or an academic mobility are: To have sufficient financial resources, to language, to the culture, to try to have family or friends, to have passports or visa and stay. Academic mobility can strengthen educational processes becuase it is a magnificent experience where can diverse knowledge, experiences and different of looking at life. However challenges by exchange students can be discrimation, of seasons comunicaction between people, lack of experience, economic situation.
The first factor is to choose a place that is compatible with the study plans and its duration, as it determines the cost of the stay. Another factor is the language, and the means of transportation are also very important because if there is no easy way to travel from the accommodation to the institute, it will be more difficult. Lastly, the safety of the destination is also a consideration.
It is an adventure that helps open the mind to a wide range of possibilities, as well as a great opportunity to experience different cultures and traditions, while also providing countless additional advantages and fostering tolerance towards differences. It allows for language improvement and refinement.
The challenges that a student may face during academic mobility are, first, dealing with visas and paperwork; second, making progress with the language; third, the expenses of relocation; fourth, adapting to a new educational system; and fifth, overcoming loneliness.
I agree that mobility is a factor to take into account before traveling and while on site.
of course, however you must consider most factores in the mobility academic you comment is very simple, because a student faces several challenges like the diferent climate, diferent foods and cultures
The distance must be considered, if you want to study near your family or if this does not influence your decision; the language, cultures, its gastronomy, if you want to live alone, if you like to live new experiences and discover new places.
An exchange allows knowing not only the environment, but also a new academic-professional learning, an example of this, in the field of medicine: the epidemiology of the place, new treatments, technology, care modality, pathologies that occur in other places and they are typical of him and that in our country do not exist. In short, it allows personal and professional growth with excellent experiences.
I agree with the partner because knowing the language of a country where we want to move is of the utmost importance since it can facilitate or hinder the instance there and another thing is the gastronomy that is also important.
it is true that living far away from the family is complicated but it does not take away from the positive experience of cultures and languages that they will gain.
1- I think many things should be considered. First, the language barrier. The person must be sure that they can overcome the language, because otherwise the classes would be difficult.
Second, the capital available for your stay. Money is very important and more so if you are in a country with a currency of greater economic value than that of the country of origin. Meeting basic needs is important to enjoy and make the most of this new experience. Finally, I think it is very important that the person consider if that is what they really want. Because in part it is a sacrifice to get away from the family, from the environment you know and facing a new culture in some cases is difficult.
2- All educational centers are different and more so between countries, academic mobility provides an opportunity for a student to improve their application techniques, expand your knowledge, improve what you already have and even rethink things. On the other hand, interacting with another culture, another different mentality, other customs and other scenarios completely different from those commonly experienced It allows the experiences to be expanded and therefore their behavior is modified according to their tastes, in addition, acceptance and respect for other cultures is produced.
3- Distancing with family, culture shocks and in some cases, discrimination by the natives
Completely agree. Choosing to study in another country can be exciting, but it also comes with certain challenges. It’s essential to prepare linguistically and financially for the experience. However, I agree that immersing oneself in a new culture is a unique opportunity to learn and grow. Although it may be difficult at first, with determination and the support of the student community, we can overcome any obstacles that come our way.
I think it should be taken into account, the comfort and access to the career you want to choose, in order to ensure that you are going to have a good academic and training process, in terms of the challenges of international students, I think that integration activities should be done to facilitate the adaptation of them,
I’m from a town near Pereira, and I had to move to the city to live alone when I started university, it was a not so pleasant experience but I adapted quickly
-They must consider factors such as the place where they are going to stay, their food, transportation, the security of the place and the cost of living.
-It can enhance academic and personal growth because it increases cultural awareness and helps strengthen viable ideologies for the person.
-One of the challenges that arise is the cultural barrier and being away from your family. This is overcome over time by working on the weaknesses.
-Being on an exchange or visiting a new place can be a unique experience, and mysterious in the sense that one can never be sure of what is to be experienced until they arrive and visit, sparking ideas and critical thinking. All of this can be incredibly enriching to their character and life journey.
1. Academic reputation: It is essential to research the academic reputation of educational institutions in the desired destination. Checking university rankings, the quality of academic programs, and research opportunities can help make an informed decision.
Language: The language spoken in the destination is a crucial factor. Students should assess their level of proficiency in the local language and consider whether the university offers language programs or courses taught in English or another language they are fluent in.
