So, we'll go no more a roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart be still as loving,
And the moon be still as bright.
This line is interesting because a rhythm is created so well and i think that the author tried to say that the heart and the moon should stay how they are
For the sword outwears its sheath,
And the soul wears out the breast,
And the heart must pause to breathe,
And love itself have rest.
I think that the poet tried to accomplish that the heart itself must pause to breathe. I think he could have been out of breath after he broke up with his lover.
this line is striking because The author explained how Love sometimes has to have some rest. And i think that the author showed us how people can live without love, without someone with strong feelings.
Though the night was made for loving,
And the day returns too soon,
Yet we'll go no more a roving
By the light of the moon.
This stanza surprises me because in line 10, it is saying that the day comes so fast after the night that was made for loving, so I . think that the author tried to say that the night will be faster with love. And I also think that he tried to say that sometimes without love the day just returns too soon like nothing happened
The whole poem surprises me, because I think that the whole poem is about a loving heart that was broken and also think that the author said the heart and love have to have some rest
