As you may know today, many marine life animals are killed by oil, pollution, and many other things that should not be in the ocean. Do you know how this is caused???
Ocean Pollution reports, ”Nonpoint source pollution includes many small sources, like septic tanks, cars, trucks, and boats plus larger sources such as farms, livestock ranches, and timber harvest areas.” There are too many impacts to change, but if we try hard enough step by step we could make a bigger impact on the earth.
World Wildlife states that oceanic animals are dying at the hands of humans, in ways such as illegal fishing. Illegal fishing may mean catching other animals that tend to get stuck in the wires and the nets, along with accidentally being shot or stabbed. Last but certainly not least, many endangered animals are being killed by poisonous gases in the air and accidentally getting hit by ships. This is very bad for our environment because all the prey that need to be eaten, live longer and overpopulate the ocean.
Many marine animals are dying because people are not taking care of the resources we have wisely. For example, people are killing whales as trophies and not even thinking about using the fat nor the skin. This is not only wasteful, but it shouldn’t be done because it is illegal. We humans need to think about the actions we take because they do have consequences.
Today, let's start thinking about the value of life, whether that be human life or animal life; we can do something as simple as picking up trash, even if it’s not yours. Or we can have people to put up signs in our oceans to prevent the boats from going into certain areas, and if you wanted to you could ask people to volunteer to help marine police go out and pick up trash out of the ocean. If everyone did these things many animals would not be going extinct right now.
