Letter to Author - Toni De Chambara , The Lesson

Dear Toni Cade Bambara,

I am curious with your short story “ The lesson” because it is interesting to see the way in which you show that both student and teacher should never underestimate people when your both student struggle to understand what happened eventually at the school.

I am shocked with your short story, “The lesson”, because Ms. Moore seems to have a thoughtful influence towards the students who disobey her and want to make her life in pieces.

One set of lines that stands out for me is, “ line 48” when says “ so I stand on her foot I think I think this line predicts how she persuades them. Looks like they know you for a long time.

Thanks for your story. I look forward to seeing what you happens next. This story actually makes me think that in life, we should never underestimate others, such as in the story of the lesson by Toni Cade Bambara, because at any point of the life, its same person someday can surprises us, can make things that we never imagine that this person would be able to do and we never know the person until one encounters them. I really look forward to know more about it than it actually shows in your story.

Best,

Idelkys Checo
