Brooke Cox(Apr 16 2020 1:57PM):
Ultimately Hopeful
more
Although my book is really long and a bit depressing, there are a lot of instances in it of people doing good things, which give the novel a hopeful undertone.
Raven Sims(Apr 15 2020 10:12PM):
My opinion on my book was the opposite. I loved a few characters, but disliked most of the townspeople were because how devoted they were to killing a certain of group.
student teaghan bradley(Apr 16 2020 4:53PM):
main characters
more
My opinions changed all though out the story. First I didn’t like Daniel and his opinion on things then when I got to see more of Daniel’s and Natasha’s beliefs and opinions. I soon understood and appreciated the way they thought. Especially today.
Student Ella McIntosh(Apr 16 2020 4:53PM):
I feel the same because my book had a few main characters that I loved too, and there were also a lot townspeople that I didn't like at all.
Lillie Garner(Apr 17 2020 2:48PM):
My opinion is a little different. I liked my main characters, but in my mind, there is this underlying fact that they are privileged and are favored over the other students by their headmaster.
Eli Ramsey(Apr 17 2020 9:23AM):
My impression on the author is that he takes the book very slow, meaning that he doesn't get right to the action when the book starts, but will take awhile to get to the action.
Brooke Cox(Apr 16 2020 2:37PM):
This book actually reminded me of the Lord of the Rings series, because Hugo's writes a lot of in depth descriptions just like J.R.R. Tolkien.
Maya Stewart(Apr 17 2020 10:45PM):
My book's message seems to not really have one but I'd say something I take out of it is the importance of caring for someone. Especially when you can see there is something visibly wrong.
Student Beau Downing(Apr 17 2020 11:11AM):
Problems
more
I like every time that Brian talks about his problem with family. I can connect, because sometimes you feel like family problems will never be resolved. If you just try hard to fix them and put in effort the outcome can change.
Jordan Flanders(Apr 16 2020 6:03PM):
opinion of characters
more
In the book “Freak the Mighty” the characters change drastically overtime. Freak learns to gradually treat Max as his friend and they gain a respect for each other. My opinion of them didn’t really change because freak is still annoying and max didn’t change much.
Sir Dalton Hartley(Apr 16 2020 10:00AM):
Movie Characters
more
I would want to see Iain Armitage play Will, Noah Schnapp play Luke, Ariana Greenblatt play Charla, Jackson Robert Scott play Ian, Robert Daniel Sloan play J.J., and Millie Bobby Brown play Lyssa.
Jordan Flanders(Apr 16 2020 6:13PM):
I wish I could say the same about my book, but my book has a lot of moments where the action takes a break. This is where most of the exposition comes from.
olivia kennedy(Apr 15 2020 8:13PM):
best characters
more
My favorite characters in the book are January and the Monk, the Monk was so devoted to Annabelle, and January was so strong through all the bad things that happened to her.
student teaghan bradley(Apr 16 2020 5:05PM):
similar
more
In my book the common thing with what Olivia said was devotion. Daniel and Natasha only had a couple hours together. He was devoted to the challenge and later became devoted to Natasha. Even after they were separated there was always a sense of devotion.
Blair Waldon(Apr 16 2020 9:58AM):
My favorite characters in my book are Anna Boleyn and Katie Howard, who are based off of Anne Boleyn and Kathrine Howard.
Will Hughes(Apr 16 2020 1:02PM):
My favorite character is Scott because he is really smart and not many people believe in him but he is good at football.
My least favorite Character is Mr.Dykes because he is one of the reasons that Chris might have to change schools and that would make the book bad and it would hurt the football team.
Jordan Flanders(Apr 16 2020 6:11PM):
I have no idea of what book your talking about, but if he makes another character change schools I already don't like him
student teaghan bradley(Apr 16 2020 5:01PM):
Favorite quote
more
“On her lunch break, Irene downloads the Nirvana album for herself. She listens to it three times in a row.” It is a very minor part in the whole story. The backstory is Irene is security and something sticks out to her about Natasha. Natasha’s phone case has Nirvana on it so she listens to it. Then she rights her suicide note. Natasha made an impact but, wasn’t enough. The reason I think this is my favorite quote was because it stuck with me. It made me realize that even if you aren’t doing anything it could still could affect anyone. So always work on what you put out into the world. In everything you do,do in love.
Hannah Frye(Apr 17 2020 3:20AM):
No, I would not.
more
I would not read another book by this author because she uses the slang that the people use in the country that they live in. In this book there are many words that I don’t understand that are not defined in the book. This makes the book difficult to read.
Lillie Garner(Apr 17 2020 2:34PM):
soundtrack
more
My book has already been made into a movie. Therefore, when reading this, the songs that it made me think of were the ones from the movie. One specific song, the theme for the movie, has a tempo that alternates from slow to moderate giving it a somewhat ominous feel.
Student Ella McIntosh(Apr 16 2020 4:57PM):
I would most like to meet the main character of my book, Matilda, because in my book she was in the middle of a pandemic just like we are now.
Eli Ramsey(Apr 17 2020 9:26AM):
I feel like my author was trying to get across that a family always has to deal with issues, but figure out a way to make things work. If it means move to where you don't want to move, but it makes the relationship better, than you need to do it
Priest Timberlake(Apr 17 2020 4:04PM):
author's purpose
more
In my book, the characters are working through some issues as members of the same football team. Football teams sometimes become like a family so I can see a similarity here.
Maya Stewart(Apr 17 2020 11:51PM):
I think the story is pretty unique. It seems highly unlikely for the events in the story to actually happen but with proper research, the symptoms of the mental disorder are right there.
Raven Sims(Apr 15 2020 10:06PM):
If I could hear the story in another's point of view, I would choose Isaac Hempstead-Wright because everyone thinks he got taken and he could tell his side of being brought in as a orphan.
Lillie Garner(Apr 17 2020 2:40PM):
I would choose a random background student because I feel like it would been funny to hear a normal student's opinions on how privileged Harry Potter is.
Brooke Cox(Apr 16 2020 2:03PM):
Although, my book is written in third person omniscient point of view, it would be interesting to me to see Cosette's life from her point of view
Student Beau Downing(Apr 17 2020 11:15AM):
Perfect
more
I think that the author made this book really come to life. he made all of his details about the character, places, and situations in the book very vivid. It almost feels like you are in the book while reading it.
Landin Garcia(Apr 17 2020 2:04PM):
Really good
[Edited]more
I think my author put a lot of time into making the world that he did. You can tell that she is really creative based on the things he decided to do with their story.
Eli Ramsey(Apr 17 2020 9:27AM):
My book's pace is very slow when getting to the point. Through the first ten chapters, there hasn't really been any action, but I feel like in the near future that action will come.
