Jun-04-20 | Chat and links shared during the conversation |
For this conversation, we asked teachers to bring a resource with them.
What are you using, planning to use, wishing you could use... with your students to spark thought and conversation about the death of George Floyd and the protests?
We invite you to add to this collection that we've started: Collection: George Floyd's Life Mattered.
Together, let's build resources, collections, projects, playlists, prompts, curriculum... and a teaching philosophy that centers youth inquiry and activism.
How are we Teaching in a Movement for Justice? This link takes you to a collection from 2015 where we asked “How can we help students to connect around important issues of race and justice in our time?” and “How do we build curriculum, rituals, tools, and skills in modular, open, inspiring ways that will give students the permission to follow their passions, yet also invite them to go deep into important issues as committed and informed citizens?”
We have work ahead. Join us by annotating this video. Let's to do a small part by building something together in response to the George Floyd uprising.
Bring a resource to share on TTT.
