Andy, the protagonist in “On the Sidewalk Bleeding," by Evan Hunter has a few traits that influence his relationships with others.
One, he is stupid. Two, he is foolish. Three, he is scared .
These traits influence his relationships with others.
“I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t want to get mixed up in this. He’s a Royal. We help him, and the Guardians’ll be down on our necks. I don’t want to get mixed up in this, Angela.” Because of Andy’s foolishness to join a gang his friends are now afraid to help him because they don’t want to be involved in this rivalry.
Then you need to say clearly why this proves that Andy is stupid, foolish, and scared.
Later,on paragraph 91,Angela Returns to Andy “
“She found him in the doorway a minute past midnight. She left the dance to look for him, and when she found him, she knelt beside him and said “Andy, it’s me, Angela.” Andy continues to tell himself how he doesn’t want to die he’s scared in this moment because he now realizes how stupid it was to put a jacket above his own life just to brag about being in the royals,he realizes that he wants to be himself ,he wishes he didn’t take his life for granted .
But I’m having difficulty seeing what exactly you are saying about the boy who lies there bleeding. Do you really want to say that he is stupid, foolish, and scared?
