In this article, the author argues that gun control does not infringe upon our second amendment rights. She states that gun control proponents are not advocating for taking away guns, but they support the 2008 supreme court decision. "The Second Amendment is "not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for any purpose whatsoever."
The author argues a second point that states that gun control would restrict guns' sale to the wrong people. She argues that there should be universal background checks, even at privatized gun sales, which would prevent the wrong people from legally obtaining a gun.
A third idea includes the restriction of specific unnecessary gun improvements and attachments. Items, such as high capacity magazines and bump stocks, should be purely sold to the military. These highly-powerful instruments should not be offered to the general public for any reason.
