TTT 11.04.2020 NowComment: Turning Documents into Conversations - Six Use Cases (Part 1)

Author: Teachers Teaching Teachers

https://youtu.be/Wy2EtGYzYLY

This Wednesday (11/4) and next Wednesday (11/11) evening, we invite you to take a close look at six use cases of teachers finding solutions for connecting their students around texts, images and videos using NowComment https://nowcomment.com.

Come find out how and why these teachers are turning documents into conversations in different ways on NowComment.

  • Kiran Chaudhuri, Harvest Collegiate High School, New York, New York
  • Paul Hankins, Silver Creek High School, Sellersburg, Indiana
  • Jessica Hernandez-Speer, P.U.L.S.E. High School, Bronx, New York
  • Anna Maine, Berkeley High School, Berkeley, California
  • Natalia Navarro, Orange Cove High School, Orange Cove, California
  • Chris Sloan Judge Memorial Catholic High School, Salt Lake City, Utah

We've asked a few teachers each week to choose one student to focus on, and we will:

  • Read through all of that student's recent comments on NowComment
  • Then the teachers will riff a bit on the context for this student's writing, talking about their goals
  • Finally we will all think about creating a Youth Voices Skillz post to desribe one of the habits of heart, mind, and work that this student is demonstrating.

On TTT this Wednesday, we'll to do this with three students and look closely how their teachers are using NowComment.

Join us this Wednesday evening, November 4th at 9E/8C/7M/6P at https://teachersteachingteachers.org where we will post a link to our Zoom conference.
