Richard emphasizes that he only bought a solar panel to show how easy it was to create the Lion Lights. It is impressive to successfully create something with limited materials because it requires you to think and use your brain. As stated in the text, Richard was 13 years old and able to create an effective product using broken flashlight parts and a motorcycle motor. Because of his quick thinking he was able to help save the endangered lions and make a product other people in his community, country and other countries could use. One problem in my community would be cars speeding through my neighborhood. I would like to use an electric lift gate that slows people down from speeding.
