Joe Child(Jan 08 2021 9:10AM):
were toward eternity has a million words in just three somehow. It helps you understand so much just from them three words.
mia Mia Dobbins(Jan 08 2021 10:12AM):
The first sentence
more
I think the first sentences really set the tone for the poem and it creates a cool and chilling tone for the reader. I really like how the author said " He kindly stopped for me".
mia Mia Dobbins(Jan 08 2021 10:14AM):
The mode during the poem
more
The author through the poem talks about the surroundings of them during the drive in the carriage. Almost like their life’s happiest moments was flashing before their eyes.
KODI SEYMORE(Jan 08 2021 12:36PM):
she is saying that she cant stop from death and that death stopped for her so she is saying that death is a person

Jonathan Twilley(Jan 08 2021 12:32PM):
I think death stopping for her, was him giving her a final opportunity to live and he is allowing her that privilege.
Jayden Shackelford(Jan 08 2021 3:32PM):
Deaths attitude towards time
more
The idea of death not having haste is interesting to me, he would have no time constraints because of his immortality but would still have a task he needs to complete.
Andon Templet(Jan 08 2021 3:36PM):
This and the line above most likely means that they are the only two beings in the carriage. Are they both immortals?
Caressia Moore(Jan 08 2021 9:20AM):
Maybe this means that they passed a school full of children, where they saw them having fun and playing ring around the rose??
Student Tressie Carter(Jan 08 2021 10:04AM):
"Children strove" he is stating that the children in school are trying to be the best they can be to be successful
Keaton Stevens(Jan 08 2021 10:09AM):
They might have came to a big house since they can't see the roof or they are in a forest of sorts and there is too much foliage in the way.
Samuel Throckmorton(Jan 08 2021 9:14AM):
They are going to keep traveling for eternity. Because eternity can never be reached because it goes on forever.
Jonathan Twilley(Jan 08 2021 12:36PM):
I believe this means that they are towards eternity and as such they were coming to the end of the ride and soon both her and death could not wait any longer.
