Rhetorical Analysis
As a advoate of the women’s rights movement, Elizabeth Cady Stanton stood her ground for equality. Her address at the Seneca Falls convention is well known for motivating those with the desire to be involved in the fight for women’s rights. Cady Stannton delivers these aspects and ideas to persuade to the audience, in hopes of the group gravitating to her side. The Women’s Suffrage movement was important event in U.S. history, and this idea has impacted even today’s society.
Stanton appeals to the listeners by listing examples as a series of impactful and influentical events. This idea pertains and relates to the idea that all men are created equal. As mentioned before, All Men are Created Equal is known by a high percentage of Americans at the time, so Stanton made comparisons to this phrase in order to create simularities and examples to convince her audience.
