This is great story for making CR-SE connections. I wonder if students understood what happened when the character told her story to the class. We will explore ways to scaffold, use social construction and peer review to deepen the student's thinking,

In this case it would be interesting to have the student read the text so that someone could transcribe. It is important to pay attention to the student's ideas as well as the spelling.
