What could you do to help students to understand how to structure a story? I wonder how students would respond to problem, attempt to solve it and outcome or goal, attempt to reach it and outcome.

Many students write stories without sharing their feelings. This is a good criteria to share with the students. Perhaps they could see samples that show/state feelings.

First steps. These students might benefit from talking about their pictures. This could help them to start to learn how to compose sentences.

This student seems to have not way to think abstractly. I wonder if by looking at a picture that shows something he might do, the student could get some details on to paper.
