Brianna M Brianna M (Jan 19 2022 4:12PM) : rubrics vs checklists more

We have just started a new reading writing program. We as a grade have been sitting down together a lot trying to make sense of the rubrics that come with the program, trying to make them more explicit. They also are often wordy and seem a little overwhelming for students. The checklists are more like explicit learning targets that we created based on the rubric, and we are able to include images that can help our students understand them further.

Liz L Liz L (Jan 18 2022 9:44PM) : The learning targets are very clear. I think how much gets done in one day depends on the group. Teachers need to make decisions based on what they know about the students in front of them.
