1. Explain a selected problem
2. Quote the text or a source
3. Give information from the text.
We could add – define terms.
What they don’t seem to consider is how to organize the information. Some of them go off on tangents.
We will be discussing how to help students to understand expectations.

Students seem to enjoy this task. They might develop their writing more fully if they had a chance to use a graphic organizer and share ideas in small groups.
