Hamburger cost the same about? They also talked about humane education, how both humans and none human living things can both be accomodating, caring and tolerant for one another,
Humane education is what the world needs.
Where the students and teachers collaborate together to make our world a better place.
After watching the video on humane education and relating it to my own upbringing, I found myself contemplating society’s, schools’, and the government’s position on this matter. . I am now curious about the strategies, methods, and initiatives needed to develop additional humane education schools, not only in the USA but around the world. Will we be integrating humane education principles in the same way that technology has been incorporated into schools?

Although I believe this is an amazing project for students, teachers should also make sure all students are learning about each part individually. In my experience, I only worked on the design. My teammates did the rest of the work. After this experience, I realized I didn’t learn anything about the actual functionality of a robot. Hands on activities are necessary, but so are lessons for students to learn on each aspect of the activity.

I admire the effectiveness of the teacher’s innovative and problem-based approach to engage young learners and promote mathematical thinking. . It’s a good idea to present them with open-ended, real-world challenges to get them to use their prior knowledge, especially when trying to explain abstract concepts like math. Her method of instruction promotes collaborative learning to enhance problem-solving abilities while encouraging ongoing study of mathematical ideas.
You don’t need to create problems. How about finding problems in the real world?
I like that the teacher is asking open-ended questions, so that each child’s thoughts and opinions are valid and there is no yes/no answer.
Stories portray spiders as scary.
Kids explore whether spiders add value.
Embed curriculum in the community.
You folks at Samara will see this in action!
In education, one size does not fit all as children possess diverse mind, way of thinking, and learning styles
This reminds me of project based learned, where students are challenged to address an issue that is representative of them and their environment. It is nice that the students get to utilize a resource that they see daily to create solutions to problems in their environment.
Environmental champions using technology and their own creative juices (building a web site)
Kids and adults work together to improve water quality.
These projects really take a whole team of teachers in different subject areas. Students not only develop design thinking, but are also developing reading skills, writing skills, presentation skills, and more as they engage in projects like this. Plus, they seem so motivated. I love problem-based learning units. =)
In problem-based learning, authentic genuine challenges build a solid connection to reality, making it easier for students to comprehend and address problems. Students’ feeling of relevance and motivation to create workable solutions increase when they are confronted with realistic obstacles, which also improves their problem-solving abilities in real-world settings.
